Default South Africa versus West Indies 4th Test

Well the 4th test is about to start. SA already hav one the series with their 2 wins. This is the last match of the series.

Pollock is back in the line-up for SA. Most likely its Nel (injured) who will be replaced.

The match will be played in Antigua. Lara's last match here was the 400 not out. With Lara in awesome form who knows what he can do.

yes lara can do anything, not only in antigua but anywhere in the world he has the ability to score big innings. but unfortunately this last test match is just going to be a show off because SA has already won the series. this test match would have been of much more importance in WI were able to win the previous one or even were able to draw the previous one. but unfortunately they lost. so i think players here are just going to play for indiviual performances. especially SA batsman are going to be looking forward to improve their average.

WI are clawing their way back into this match. Currently SA are at 295 for 4 with Gibbs just getting out. Kallis is still on.

Kallis and Prince are taking SA to a strong position with a 165 run partnership. SA is at 460 for 4 with Prince on 77 and Kallis on 100.

Also of note:

This is Kallis's 22nd century is the highest amout for a South African, beating the 21 by Gary Kirsten
This is South Africa's 100th test.

Well after the first session strike the WI have slowed down.

At stumps SA are at 525 for 4 with Prince at 114 and Kallis at 127. They have an unbroken partnership of 230.

SA now have 4 players that have a century.

AB de Villiers: 114
GC Smith: 126
JH Kallis: 127 not out
AG Prince: 114 not out

Only Dippenaar (5) and Gibbs (23) have not gotten past 100.

Looks like SA are looking for quick runs. They are now at 567 for 6 with Pollock and Boucher on. Earlier Kallis was out of 147 and Prince on 131. They were out within a few balls of each other.

South Africa has declared on 588 for 6. A good move. Now he has 86 overs today and 2 more days to get WI out.

Wi going crazy as they reach 75 for 1 in less than 11 overs at an amazing run rate of 7.14. Gayle is at 51 from 35 balls and Sarwan is at 20 from 31 balls.

What a fantastic batting gala of Gayle and Sarwan! The constant poor batting (except of Lara) eventually made me lost all faith about their ability to pile up a big run, but then these duo proves me wrong again. Surely this test is heading for a tame draw.

6 Centuries in the game. 3 days gone and only 7 wickets fell in total. What can you expect?

Well no 400 for Gayle as he is out for 317. WI are still doing good with about 11 overs left to go they are at 545 for 5 about 43 runs behind SA. At the rate this is going, I'm am now very sure this will be a draw.

Gayle's 317 is the 14th highest test score in test history.

400* BC Lara
380 ML Hayden
375 BC Lara
365* GS Sobers
364 L Hutton
340 ST Jayasuriya
337 Hanif Mohammad
336* WR Hammond
334* MA Taylor
334 DG Bradman
333 GA Gooch
329 Inzamam-ul-Haq
325 A Sandham
317 C Gayle
311 RB Simpson
310* JH Edrich

Good going by gayle, could have carried on, as I didnt like the way he got out! No foot movement at all, so 400+ could have been possible!
