US sports - Tainted
Tainted major sports:
Boxing: all almost fixed.
NFL: drugs, bettings, nightclubs, murders.
NHL: Labor contract, Prostitution.
NBA: Bettings by the officials, prostitution, drugs.
MLB: Steroids, bettings, cheating (cork bats, juiced up balls), drugs.
Track and field: Steriods, drugs.
Cycling: Steriods, drugs.
Is too much money an issue? Or winning at any cost got the sports in to trouble?
Soccer (Football) is the only one still pure. I guess that is what is left for my son to participate.

NFL - you forgot the illegal Dog fighting ring. They found dead bodies of over 30 dogs in a compound that belongs to Michael Vick. Been going on for some time. Just saw this update on yahoo sports: http://www.yahoo.com/s/634925

football is hardly pure. agents calling the shots, passing on backhanders to managers, the english premiership has had its wrist slapped lately because of bung allegation.
money and competitiveness is an issue. if we could go back to the amateur days there would be a lot less of the above, but thats impossible.

Sorry Puck,
I meant Soccer in US. Not in England, Italy, France or Spain.

Yet MLS is the least popular here in N America.
So FC Dallas is closest MLS team near Arkansas rite? Is there a following of soccer in that area?
There is a huge fan base for Toronto FC.

Didn't Shane Warne, Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif fail Drug tests? Didn't South Africa throw away test matches and what about those Indian bookies?

I was listening to Jim Rome. David Justice (One of the mitchell report guy) on his show said that if he would make some bucks only then he would sue senetor Mitchell for saying false things about him. He doesn't care about someone spoiling his reputation. Doesn't care about his legacy or his fans. lol
What a retard. And actually I liked him one time while he was pumping irons and taking roids (alledgedly).
And what was rocket thinking? The date that rocket started taking the steriods he already had 3 cy-youngs. He was sure Hall of fame even without the roids like Barry. I am just baffled by their behavior. Sorry Roger Clements!! You have no integrity. The MLB players association is the worst bull sh*t association there was.

I guess this just answers one thing....Money is more important than fame!! Both Clemens and Bonds had fame b4 the steriods, but it wasn't enough; their drive was led by the seeking of the continous inflow of cash.
Greater Stats=>bigger, longer contracts =>Continous inflow of CASH!!!!

It's quite interesting....I just read somewhere - 1/3 of the 2000 Yankees Championship Roster was on Steroids. 8 out of 25 players from the Playoff Roster.
Clemens, Pettite, Stanton, Grimsley, Justice, Canseco, Knoblauch and i forgot who the person was.

Canseco wasn't a Yankee, Pettite got juiced in 01, Roger is still the greatest ... report was so biased Mitchell is the director for the red sox so he had a conflict if interest so he couldn't snitch on Manny , Ortiz , Schilling and Variteck.
Tell me how Sosa, Mcguire wasn't even mentioned in the report?
