Last time we toured that side Vusi was there and his presents would definetly add a bit to our cause
andy,

you truly are a world class fan. humilty in both defeat and victory...thats prolly more than i can say of myself. BC is truly fortunate to have a ZIM fan such as yourself.

This should be an ideal series for us to try out a new openning pair (SN-Mehrab), a new wicketkeeper (Mushfiq), and couple of reserve pacers (Tapash and, may be, Nazmul) in rotation with the regular ones.

Agreed with the first two experiments and strongly disagree with third option.

We need Shahadat to play all 5 matches and get him ready for the world cup. We usually field 2 pacers in a match, rotation should be only between Mashrafee, Rasel and Shahadat.

Don't you think it's a bit stupid (especially after the injury fiasco we were threatened with right before CT) to keep playing with only three frontline pacers in the squad ?

I am with you Watcher on this one. Playing Dollar, or S Zabir one or two games just to get the feel of it in the 4th or 5th match should be a good idea. I am sure Bd will play full strength against Canada and Bermuda because it would be too close to the WC and all experiment should stop before that. Mushfiq desperately needs a match or two. KM's aging is not stopping so injury scare would put us in a bind. We at least need the backup to have one or two games under his belt.

So did Tushar Imran. However, they are not given chances (in W Keeping) nowadays and not in the regular line up and does not solve the long term issues.

In the dying hours of the WC, if there is an injury on KM, one can blame his absense of not having a fruitful outing in the field at that position whoever may take his place for those 3 games. From where I stand, I always look for contengency plans and backup plans if the current plan fails. So, I would want the management think long term instead on focusing on the short term. If Gilchrist can be benched to give some rest sooner or later KM should be given the same thing since his bones are older than Gilly. When a person crosses 34/35, all of a sudden the same amount of work makes the bones muscle ache a little more. I know so. Rest becomes more important.

Don't forget those pathetic run outs that has been presented to BD by Zimbo. That score card ( win by 101 runs ) leading us to another trap.

In this present year the record of these teams is 3-3. So, it will be great series. But Bangladesh should play aggressively not only in playing but also body language. Sometimes I feel the players are too nice. Bangladesh should blood youngsters like MEhrab in this series.

Both of those boys failed to make any impact during Academy team's tour of Pakistan. I don't think they are ready yet to step into the international arena. So, Tapash still gets my vote as the number one back up bowler.

One away series can't be a sole measuring stick but then I would go for Nazmul. Taposh even as a change bowler gets blasted out of the park way too often. Too many no-balls also. We should have turning pitch for sure. in the first 3 games.

Yah, we should have a turning pitch for first 3 games and play 3 spinners with Reza opening bowling. I seriously think Enamul should play against Zim as 3rd spinner as he is very successful against them.

I'm tired of bangladesh vs Zimbabwe playing each other. Its like ICC don't want you in the mainstream so they are just pushing off to a side. Its like a elders do in bangladesh "Go play yourselves and have fun in the side"

Question:
1. What are the exact dates of the matches?

2. Has venues already been selected?

3. Where can I get Ticket info?

If someone can post or PM me I would really appreciate. Thank you.

We are playing in our backyeard, thus it could make a big difference in our performance what we showed in Zimbabwe! Anybody can think or feel whatever s/he likes!! It's a free world anyway...as well as BC too!!!

Bangladesh to play their first ever twenty20 match.

Bangladesh to host Zimbabwe in ODI series
Cricinfo staff
October 22, 2006

The minnows meet again. Bangladesh will host Zimbabwe in a five-match one-day series starting in November, the Bangladesh board announced on Sunday.
Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh 3-2 on home soil earlier this year in a warm-up for the Champions Trophy but when the teams clashed in that tournament in India, Bangladesh claimed the upperhand with a convincing 101-run victory.
And now Zimbabwe will once more have to contend with subcontinental conditions when they head to Bangladesh at the end of the month. The Reuters news agency reported that the series will kick off with a Twenty20 match on Sunday November 28 in southwestern Kulhna which will also be the venue for the first ODI.
The second and third ODIs will take place in northern Bogra on December 3 and 5, with the final two matches in the capital Dhaka on December 8 and 9.
