During the ODI series against WI, he seemed very one-dimensional to me. In other words, it was very bland.

He has his stock deliveries which just angles away from a RH. And then he comes up with his cutters. That's pretty much his bowling nowadays. Yorkers, bouncers - nothing.

alas so much talent and success and after injury he is no where near i was amazed how powell toyed and tonked his away deliveries for 4 and 6. he really need to develop more stock deliveries, hr had so much potential than our jodu modu bowlers..with Mash nearly retiring and Rubel still the same the way he was five years ago..we wanted a good set of bowlers in pipeline what has happened to our pace dept bar Mash

Mustafiz only bowls somewhat ok when he is paid 1000 dollars a ball. Anything below, he doesn't even try.

True. Rubel gives 100% for his each delivery. He misses length frequently, but he tries. Fizz doesn't even seem to try.

Right now the comparison between Rubel and Mustafiz is the comparison between Lau and Kodu.

Currently both are under achieving.

The pressure he built up in his 5-0-10-0 spell on the 300 run wicket in the final ODI is what helped seal the series for us. It was after that that Gayle got out trying to up the rate and the rest of the WI middle order eventually conceded. Lower order slogging is not something that really worries me. The game was over by that point.

Absolute rubbish

Rubel bowls non stop short nothing balls, not even trying yorkers, that's his 100% is it

He bowls to many deliveries that goes for 6s. He needs to try to reduce that. That's where we lose games.

I love those bouncers; Walsh is doing something right.

Fizz is one of the reasons we won the last two T20Is. He is a wicket-taker and picked up crucial wickets at tense stages of the matches. If he can cut down on the loose deliveries, he will be back to how he was before.

Fizz has improved quite a bit. He comes much more closer to the stumps too. I see he is also using the occasional bouncer more often better than any pacer we had.

He just needs a bit more control and game plan. This will come with
more time and effort.

Fizz is not going to ever get "back to his original form". His first season he took like 20 wickets at an average of 14 or something. Even Wasim Akram - widely regarded as the best ODI fast bowler ever averaged well over 20 for his career. If he can keep his average under 25 and econ rate around 5 an over, he will still be a world class bowler.

He will win us plenty of ODI series at our grounds especially if the pitch grips, but he has a lot to do if he wants to be successful away from home. He definitely hasn't been the same since he made his debut. Not quite the bowler we all had expected for.

Mustafizur's current ODI bowling average for 2018 is 20.8. He can definitely keep it below 21 but the problem for me is that he gives away runs more often, especially in T20. He needs to fix that with variation in his bowling towards the death and be more willing to pitch the ball wider and fuller.

I think he is almost back to his original self now. Had a very good WI tour and back to back match winning performance in two clutch games.

What do you guys think?

He's been getting tonked by India lately. He needs to fix that record. Otherwise though good to see Eclipse doesn't know what the heck he's talking about.

He was always a top 5 bowler in the world and nice to see him getting his groove back. Very crucial to our team. Always a gets a breakthrough in his first spell these days.

Great to see him take a 4fer but need to find other pacers to support the fizz because once mash retires he won’t have that pacer support unless someone comes along so hider, shoriful, mishu, taskin and any other talented pacer really needs to be worked on now in preparation for the void that will be left from mash when he goes.

But yeah great to see fizz finding a bit of his mojo back.

Anyone notice that while Fizz does Fizz, Rubel is becoming the partnership breaker?

He did that today when Shoaib and Imam were going steady and also got Gayle out in the decider a few weeks ago.

Rubel has knack of getting the big players, Kohli comes to mind

They let Fizz bowl with the New Ball, come the final. No messing around, gotta send him in to go after the Indian Openers from the get go.
