So if we cant beat the current champions, we shouldnt be playing the tournament? Thats a great strategy

Lmao. "Current champions." We all know srilanka has lost its legends and are struggling currently. No need for these exaggerations...

Current sri lanka team and the one from 2014 aren't the same. they're the weakest among the G8, if we cannot even beat them on our home turf what chances do we have in india?

exaggeration? Which part of "current champions" is exaggeration? Its a fact! It doesnt matter how many players retired. They still have a much better understanding, skill set, experience of this format then we do.

Based on their current form, we should beat them. But that doesnt mean its a disgrace if we lose out to them. Even their current players are much better at this format then ours. So if we manage to beat them it would be a good achievement but not the end of the world if we cant. You make it sound like Sri Lanka is Hong Kong or something.

Agree they start far too late! Its only one game per day so why not start just after sun goes down! 5pm would be fine!

If we win the toss, we should bat first.
Yes, India won by batting second last night, but only because 83 is truly too low a score to defend. I still reckon this is a bat first tournament. Bat smart, get 140 + on the board. And I have faith in our bowling attack to do the rest.

The pitch looks solid for batting. Not much of a grass on it, unlike last few matches.
