I know this has been a series we want to forget as quickly as we can but wanted to acknowledge our friends The Srilankan Cricket Board, Authorities and The Team for visiting Bangladesh at a time when a cancelled tour might have seriously hampered us and future tours. We would like to express our gratitude and hope you have enjoyed our hospitality.

PS: On field kindness hopefully ends right here and you will see a different Bangladesh side in the Asia Cup!

You know if it was not Srilanka, Bangladesh would have been the other Asian giant playing cricket that long.

It was a tour that showed how much behind we are compared to SL. Even though they have slipped in the past few years, fact is this team is much better than us. It's time we accept that. This is a team that wins Tests on a regular basis which we can't even dream of right now.

The only team we can beat in Tests is Zimbabwe and in ODIs at home we can beat Zim, NZ, and WI. We might win the odd game against the other sides but we'll likely lose most matches with the others even at home. Away from home, we'd lose to NZ and WI.

Unless we make vast changes to our domestic system, we'll continue to see slow progress.
