That would be the worst decision ever. We don't need drama within the dressing room. Hridoy needs a score. Mushy and Litton got one. I think we need Shanto to open the innings with Liton and get Ryad back. Tamim Jr can carry drinks and field.

Luck tai kharap...A rare match where at least one opener plays a good innings and the middle order decides to **** the bed extraordinarly.

Our NRR is ****ed for the rest of the entire tournament

I was talking to Nightwolf on another thread about what we would score on an average day(by adding up all averages). I think with Ryad it was like 230 and so without Ryad I suppose it comes down to 220 or less. Not far off now.

We need batsman averaging high 40s to be considered a good batting side

No Bangladeshi player can play googly regardless of the quality of the bowler.

I am so delusional, to think we can ever come to close to chasing a 350 total.... if everything goes perfectly and everyone plays to their potential, maybe we can reach 280 at best against top team.

250 would have been enough for England against Bangladesh's batting line up.

That goes for our final position too..if everyone chips in we may go from number 8 to number 6..that's our best position..forget about lifting the cup

And in Last world cup against eng, Eng scored 386, we chasing scored 280..shakib scored a 100 I think mushy might scored a 50

This Bangladesh team is a bunch of Basishas; My expectations was 2 wins from Afghan and Netherlands.

Tbh unless Shakib and Mushfiq leave the team, get a strict coach, work on basics and fix the bowling friendly pitches we will get no where.

Playing against Afghanistan and Scotland or winning against larger teams on spin deadly pitches will do nothing for us

Question

Why does Bangladesh management continue to do this non-sense of experimenting with the openers literally before a major tournament or during the tournament.

Happen few times now which keeps causing instability in the lineup and keep messing up what everyone's role is on the team.

They did this a few times now.

1. 2021 T20 WC, Tamim injured, Munim Shariar picked before during the australia/new zealand series and then out of the blue Naim Sheikh gets picked?

2. 2022 Asia cup, loses opening match think Naim Sheikh and Anamul may have been the openers against Afghanistan, then tries Shabbir Rahman and Miraz vs Sri Lanka, still goes on to lose the match.

3. 2023 Asia cup, Litton has fever, Tamim out with injury, out of the blue Naim Sheikh gets chance just because of "great domestic season", flames out, chokes/gags completely in 4 games.

4. 2023 world cup (Other Tamim drama with Shakib/MGMT blah blah blah etc) Brings Tanzid Tamim in and thrusts him right into opener as savior and has completely flopped on the move.

As a bonus they also did this in 2018 asia cup with Mehidy with Liton when Tamim was playing with one hand but that was understandable due to the situation.
