This is wonderful. He is leading with 6 under par. Now it will be important to keep the intensity in the 2nd round and take a sizeable lead. Well done!

Siddikur falling behind 2 bogey in last 2 hole has put him on 14th place.

I was so surprised to hear him being mentioned on Sky News yesterday. It felt good to hear "Westwood is trailing two shots behind leader Siddiqur from Bangladesh" (even the presenter was surprised). This tournament is being closely followed in England because Lee Westwood, who is the highest ranked Englishman, is playing in it and if he wins this he could become World No. 1 again. Anyway unfortunate that Siddiq couldn't carry his form into Round 2. There's still 2 rounds left and a Top 10 finish would be a highly commendable effort from Siddiqur. Surprised to see very little mention of this on Bangladeshi media.

The 2nd round wasn't completed as they play was called off due to lightning and will resume 6:30 am local time tomorrow. Siddiqur still had 2 holes to go and perhaps can pull it up a bit. He has always done better in the back 9.

It's a brand of golfing equipment and accessories. Many tour professional have endorsement deals for Titleist and are contracted to use their equipment. I also assume they sponsor the Asian tour and has the right to have their logo displayed on the leader-board against the name of their endorsed golfers.

Pardon my golf knowledge, is Siddik's first day performance as good as a good Day 1 of a 5 day test match?

You could say it is the first of the 4 innings. He bowled very well to restrict the opposition to a low score. Coming into bat, he loat some quick wickets and lost a bit of the advantage he has. He has to now bat and bowl really well next 2 innings to make something out of it. His first tour win happened during Thr mandatory final overs when he yorked the last at bat to win.
