Update: Its raining in Lahore too

Quote:
our Editor @gauhar reckons that the rain that just started in Lahore might not be as bad a thing for the Pakistani team today as it were in Dhaka, playing with a defensive mindset as the Bangladeshi's would do in a rain affected pitch is not easy!

‎13': Atif "Bulldozer" Bashir tearing apart the Bangla midfield with some strong tackles in centre. M Ahmed charged up as left-back, with a Bangla player booked for time wasting!

‎20': Bangladesh under pressure, making mistakes in centre and conceding freekicks. Muhammad Rasool just missed 25-yard free kick!

Should be Intresting, Lebanon is ranked 177 by FIFA

This would be the farthest Bangladesh has every advanced in WCQ

If they make the 3rd Round, than BFF needs to spend Mucho Taka and have a real go at trying to qualify for Brazil, as they'll buy them selves a 1 years worth of preparation and they'll host one top 50 team (Japan [top 15], Australia, the Koreas and Baharin)

That could really bring about a rebirth of our football if we can manage to go past Lebanon and play in the actual qualifiers of the world cup.

Inshallah !!

lebanon is 177 bcz they havent played a int. match for a long long time. they are a weak side in middle east but much better thanus. we havent meet before but pakistan played them twice and conceded 14 goals! but i'm worried about the situation of lebanon. there is a war going on there. we shouldnt be touring them in the first place.

Lebanon beat India 6-3 in aggregate in 2010 WCQ

India is probably a tad bit ahead of us at the moment.
We would give 'em a run for their money, but not so sure about winning.

Lebanon then would be the clear favorites against Bangladesh.

All it takes is some discipline, organization and anything can happen in a Playoff tie

Lebanon's last 3 fixtures

02.07.11 LIB 0:6 (0:2) KUW
03.03.10 SYR 4:0 (2:0) LIB
06.01.10 LIB 1:1 (1:1) VIE

Nobody wants to or should advance in this manner

Game over. Good to see our boys handle their business and finally we're in to the 2nd round of the WCQ. The boys should work hard over the next 2 weeks before they face the Lebanese. If we can win that then that would be a great achievement.
