Refereeing is ensuring only high profile teams are reaching the quarter finals. Pretty harsh yellow cards for Ghana, which definitely affected their game and the second and the third goal was definitely off side. Anothet one which the Ghana keeper saved was also off side.

It is because Brazil is playing Ghana, if the match was against England or Germany , the linesman would definitely have raised his flag on every occasion. Today his hand was probably paralysed.

From a naked eye the Adriano goal looked like an offside. But, it wasn't on both ocassions. Here is why? First , Lucio very wisely didn't pass it to Adriano ( who was standing clearly offside ) but to Kaka ( who was onside ) and he passed it to Cafu. Adriano was passively offside but wasn't since he didn't touch the ball. After, Cafu crossed, if you looked closely, the ball deflected a Ghanian defender first, then onto Adriano who tapped it in with his thigh. Not offside again! It was a great counter attack nevertheless..

I am not a big fan of Adriano. Robinho chnages the dynamics with the entire attack. I fully expect him to replace Adriano next match. Its also about time to sit Roberto Carlos. What can I say about Ronaldo. He is still the goal scoring king. That second goal against Japan was a thing of beauty..

Whats going on? those who are watching the france-Spain game why aren't you saying something? We are not watching and have no idea what is going on. Is the penalty legit penalty or the referee messed up again?

Penalty was right decision, match is equally poised, but you get feeling France may beat offside trap set by Spain again. Overall Frances defence is very solid and Spain cant do much in the final third of the pitch

so far no cards given in this match, referee is not showing cards for some fouls which would have gotten cards with the trend set so far.

Raul was not being that visible in the match so came the sub as per commentary. This is going down to the wire, good show of defense from both teams, France playing the best so far in the tournament and probably more than Spain. No one is pushing the limit to breakthru.

there you go 3-1 France are thru with a bang. Spaniard would be crying again leaving this world cup. Can you believe that Spain has the most attractive football league and teamsin the world but they are the biggest under achievers of all time.

The Quarter finals arent seeing the 8 best teams in the Cup so far, Engalnd and Ukraine dont deserve to be there instead of Spain and Australia , but hey thats football!!
