Dipu is from 2020 U/19 World Cup Champion team. He has been a regular squad member of A-team/HP squad for last one year or so, so no surprise there.

Rohan is the top scorer from recently concluded Dhaka First Division League (the level below Dhaka Premier League).

KKR insta mentioned Liton as "our skipper", now fans' imaginations going wild. I think they said that in a jest, I can't imagine Liton being handed captaincy on his IPL debut.

Nonetheless, rumor is that BCB won't force Shak, LKD, Musta to play the Ireland Test, so they can join their IPL teams. Name of Jaker Ali has been floating around as the possible keeper for the Test match. Jaker was the top scorer in the recently concluded BCL. He's also the keeper for Bangladesh A-team in their last couple of tours.

In the other news, Hridoy scored a T20 style 30 ball 54 in DPL, playing for Sheikh Jamal. Hope he's ready to take up the #7 slot in the ODI team.

Liton in any format will make a lousy captain. He doesnt have the ingredients for a true leader currently.

TBH no one among the juniors seems up for such a role.

If liton can get his 2022 form , I think he can start in playing 11 gor kkr. Shakib will miss out. They are weak in proper batting options.

His 70s against England wasn't so convincing.. some great strokes but al many luck. I wanna see more flawless innings that he is clearly capable of playing. Ipl is tough he will get 1 shot to make his mark.. need to win it for the team and get mom.

I hope he is selected and does well.
I m eager to watch him. Shakib can be benched. Too bad both count as foreign quota event hough they were preferred based on Bengal background

Zakir out with injury for next three weeks, Tamim got fever. Rony Talukdar has been added to the ODI squad as backup.

Granted Rony is in a good form (scored 61 balls 80 in DPL), are the selectors being unfair to Bijoy? Just last year, the guy made a world record in an oneday league, scoring 11 hundred+ runs! He got a century in DPL yesterday as well, at SR 104!

As per Prothom Alo, Afif expressed his frustration to Hathuru that he's not getting opportunity to bat in his preferred top order position, being stuck in late order, whereas a new comer like Hridoy is batting ahead of Shakib. Hathuru asked him to be patient, but said he right now can't accommodate another lefty in between Shanto and Shakib.

IMO, Afif's vulnerability against spin will make him a liability even at top order when we play against Afghanistan or other Asian sides. He got to overcome it, oppositions by now are well aware of his weaknesses. IMO, he should consider himself lucky that a performer like Riyad been axed from the ODI team, while he's still in the squad.

Bijoy is not in favor of the selectors currently.

I wouldnt invest in these Talukder Baulker or Animal Hauque, as apart from not having a promising future they are old.

Would rather give chances to the young players for series against teams like Ireland.
