NBA thread
Since there aren't many following NBA year in year out, this one thread should do it for years to come.
Anyone following Golden State's historic run?
Curry!! Not Dale but Stephen. Amazing to watch. After MJ retired, I had lost the passion for NBA. Kobe- LJames didn't do it for me.
This kid is special. The whole team is amazingly unselfish. Splash Brothers with all other pieces are clicking all season long.
Rommel?

Rigged! Rigged like Indian Cricket Council.
NBA forced game 7 so hard. Series was over in game 5. 4-1. Draymond got Taskin-ed. Cavs got India treatment. LeSnitch got carried to this ring. I DON'T CARE what his stat is for this series. He showed up about 3 games late. Series was over until NBA decided to earn some extra billion$. Let's see, would NLF ban Gronk before a big game, even if he chopped someone's d!ck off? Brady got caught letting air out, still played the super bowl. Green's deal was nothing. But Green messed up by even giving them a chance to get himself suspended! Then Bogut got injured, Iggy got injured, which lead to all the downfall.
(also where the hell are all my threads? I had opened NBA, MLB, NFL, NCAA and all the other stuff)

^Warriors will be alright. I don't think they'll need a whole season to develop chemistry like Lebron's teams needed both in Miami and Cleveland. They'll find their groove by mid season.

KD was a beast tonight. If he continues to play like this chances are slim the series will see a game 5.

I want to say this series is over. Bigger question is who will Lebron recruit to challenge GSW in 2018?

This series might still get extended to six games simply because Lebron and Kyrie are capable of winning a match apiece for the Cavs. That said, agree that Cavs need to add another key piece to truly compete with the Dubs. Given the ridiculous amount of money players stand to gain from the new collective bargaining agreement it'll be tough to find that piece who is willing to forgo all the cash in hopes of getting a ring. I think they'll try to trade Kevin Love for a Paul George/Jimmy Butler/Carmelo and get someone like Wade for the veterans minimum.

To destroy a team all you have to do is get Carmelo, the ball hog. I hope Cavs get him.
If Warriors win 4-1, this will be history.
4-0, 4-0, 4-0, 4-1. Only the Lakers went on to win a championship with one loss. Those days the first round was best of 5. So they went 3-0.

Poor Melo, nobody wants to play with him. I think Lebron is the only one who can straighten him out. There's been some rumors about Lebron trying to assemble a super team with his buddies Melo, Wade and CP3 if the current group can't get the job done. Kyrie is probably as good as CP3. LBJ, Kyrie, Melo and Wade could actually work and give them a slightly better chance next year.

With the team GSW has right now they should win the series 4-2 if not 4-1.

Haven't watched a game, but I feel LeBron is good enough to not lose 4-0 lol

Haven't followed the NBA season, only just now I have tuned in to watch the last quarter and a half. GSW dominant.
My brother follows this religiously and is a die-hard Cavs fan. 2 years ago, he punched a wall after Cavs lost, last year he was so ecstatic that it was almost contagious.
Don't know when the Knicks will make it to the finals...don't know;

HHS.
Knicks have Carmelo. They don't need to go to finals.

Knicks are 5 years away from making the playoffs forget the finals. I've been very disappointed with Phil Jackson. Never thought he'd be such an utter failure as a front office guy. The only positive thing he's accomplished in 5 years is draft Porzingis. If he was willing to rebuild patiently via draft picks Knicks would've been in a much better shape today. That was the approach taken by teams like Minnesota, Philadelphia and even Boston and all these are on pace to become very good teams in a couple of years.

He inherited Melo. Not his deal. Then no one wanted him, so had to resign. They can't make the playoffs with Melo. No team will give them space. 76ers, Wizards, Raptors, Atlanta, Milwakee all have a core group who are much better and younger. They will only get better through draft as well. And then you have Boston and Cavs.

Melo wasn't his fault but he compounded matters by continuing the Knick tradition of overpaying for washed up players. His most recent trades include massive deals for D Rose, Courtney Lee and Joakim Noah. I understand the Rose deal as it is short term and low risk. Don't understand why he had to sign up Noah for 4 yrs at $17mm per year. The reason some of the teams you mention have a solid core today is because they were allowed to tank for half a decade if not longer. The one time they made a 1st round pick recently they found a gem in Porzingis, luckily they have another high draft pick this year. Instead of doling out money every year on these fringe players to give Melo one last chance, Knicks should've hoarded cash and made deals only if they received draft picks in return. They should've let the team tank which they do every year anyway. Only difference is since the tanking isn't planned they do not benefit from it.

If Cavs lose next game, Dillu, the Iftar party is in my house.
Everyone else is invited as well. Even the Cavs fan.
