Always a tough match up against Liverpool, and I'm expecting no different as we travel to play the Merseysiders this week. Liverpool are really struggling for form and Benitez' position as manager is starting to look shaky, so they really need a home win here. Torres and Gerrard's injuries have really exposed their lack of depth.
I'd love to see a win for United, with Rooney in doubt that could be tough. Liverpool will be amped and I'm expecting a cagey opening, the first team to score will probably win the match.

this is not even November and Liverpool is out of premier league. not a good time for them to meet us! they way Chelsea are getting beaten in every other weeks (and FIFA ban stays!), probably we will get the league very easy this time.

Well I had dropped Manchester Utd as my team a few weeks ago, and took up Liverpool (cause inside I just was a Reds fan), and they proceed to get owned.... (stupid beach ball).
This last game just makes me happy.

How very convenient. Now this is what you call a fairweather fan..
I'm a United supporter through thick and thin. We may have lost today but we will bounce back coz that's what champions do.

How am I fairweather fan. I dropped united a month ago? Way before this loss. And if so, why would I have supported a team that was just in a horrible stretch?
Regardless, chances of liverpool winning this year is 0 (besides top guys, there isnt much). Sadly (for me anyways), United would probably win this year. As long as chelsea doesnt win im happy.

I would have expected you to post in the Liverpool thread if you really discovered you were just a "reds fan" after all. It seems like a convenient way to declare you are a Liverpool fan right after they beat United. It just bothers me because there are so many glory hunters and pretenders out there.

Didn't see the Liverpool thread, until you just mentioned it. I'll probably just post there from now on.
Also not sure why you would think I would drop a team due to ONE loss, which as you said (quite correctly) was just won by a more desperate team. The reason I dropped united was because I just lost interest in following them, not cause they are playing bad (and they are not). Not because they lost to Liverpool.
Anyways, this isn't that big of an issue to have a whole argument over. I'll you guys to your business.

I was a real casual fan (not like the hardcore ones), since I don't follow soccer too much. Makes it easier to switch when you really don't follow that closely.. Good luck with manu. As I said, they'll probably win this year.

West Ham 0 - 4 Man Utd
A delightful strike may force Scholes to rethink his future at Old Trafford
Injury-hit Manchester United ran riot in the second half to see off West Ham and keep the pressure on Chelsea.
A sloppy Ryan Giggs backpass almost let in Jack Collison before Paul Scholes hammered in the first on half-time.
Giggs set up Darron Gibson to smash home a thunderous second goal before Alessandro Diamanti went close.
Wayne Rooney and Anderson linked up well for Antonio Valencia to score a third, and Valencia then crossed in for Rooney to add to the Hammers misery.

Nearly perfect day. Chelsea lost. Benitez moved one step closer to being sacked. We won 4-0. Only the Arsenal victory spoiled it a bit.

Wolfsburg 1 - 3 Man Utd
Owen stuns the Wolfsburg defence with a header just before the interval
A Michael Owen hat-trick helped injury-hit Manchester United see off Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg and secure top spot in group B.
Michael Carrick was lucky not to give away a penalty and Wolfsburg wasted two headers, but Owen nodded in the opener before the break after Nani's cross.
Wolfsburg hit back and Edin Dzeko headed a well-deserved equaliser after Marcel Schafer's cross from the left.
Gabriel Obertan beat three defenders to set up Owen to take the lead and the striker chipped in a late third.

Great result considering the worst defensive crisis United has gone through in a very long time.

Chelsea held 3-3 by Everton in Stamford Bridge. A win against Villa in the match starting in 30 minutes will see Man U level on points with Chelsea.
Among the other contenders, City drew for the eighth time in nine match, Spurs lost to Wolves who just got out of relegation zone
