Crying somewhere, probably. They can wave any slim hopes of winning the crown goodbye.

Man Utd to sign striker Manucho

Manchester United have agreed to sign 24-year-old Angolan forward Manucho.

The striker, who has been on trial at the club, will join from Angolan side Petro Athletico on a three-year deal.

"We have had Manucho here for a three-week trial and have been impressed enough to offer him a contract," said boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

"He is a tall, agile, quick forward and through contacts that Carlos (Queiroz) has, was brought to our attention around six months ago."

That's a good signing. Now we need a replacement for Wes Brown.

Sunderland 0-4 Man Utd

Rooney wheels away in delight after opening the scoring

Manchester United swept Sunderland aside with ease to return to the top of the Premier League ahead of Arsenal's evening match at Portsmouth.

An inspired Wayne Rooney opened the scoring on 20 minutes, coolly stroking the ball home from 18 yards.

Rooney then set up United's second, clipping in a cross for Louis Saha to volley sweetly into the bottom corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo curled in a free-kick on 45 minutes and Saha rounded things off with an 86th-minute penalty.

United goals:

Rooney 20', Saha 30', Ronaldo 45', Saha 86' (pen)

Great to see Rooney and Saha score. Ronaldo's goal was PURE CLASS!

Top scorer in the EPL (12). Total of 17 goals this season.

Oh yes! What a victory, and what a player!

Newcastle were doomed long before Harry Redknapp rejected them.

Hehehe, just saw Ferdinand's volley on MOTD. It was a clinical finish, one that you would expect from a striker. Nice one, Rio.

For those who didn't know, Rio started out as a striker in his early years. So, not surprised to see that type of finish. He does have a scoring touch and shows from time to time.

ManUnited will win once again this year.

Default 50 years since Munich

Survivors of the Munich air disaster are to fall silent at a memorial service timed to coincide with the moment of the crash 50 years ago. Sir Bobby Charlton will be one of the survivors at the ceremony at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground.
There will also be a ceremony at the crash site at 1504 GMT, and a minute's silence at Wembley before England's evening friendly against Switzerland.
Eight players were among 23 people killed in the crash on 6 February 1958.

Man U is trailing Man City 0-2 at home with 30 minutes to go. Why do we always lose to these jokers ?

Two words: 'French' and 'Flair'. Man U will do well to try and get Karim Benzema.

On a positive note, it is always great to see Ryan Giggs captain the side. He's the greatest footballer never to play in the World Cup IMHO.

They will try. But, my guess is he will end up with one of those big Italian clubs. New Zidane ? He is more of a goal scorer than Zidane though.
