Arsenal missed the chance to reclaim top spot after drawing with Portsmouth.

In a game of few clear chances, Arsenal came closest to scoring in the first half through Tomas Rosicky but his dipping shot was saved by David James.

The result - Portsmouth's fifth 0-0 draw at Fratton Park this season - allowed Manchester United to go one point clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.

Arsenal might feel they should have won this game given their almost complete control of the second half, but Portsmouth were worth the draw given the way they stuck to their tactical plan.

Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Jens Lehmann but manager Arsene Wenger has insisted he wants the goalkeeper to stay at the Emirates.

The 38-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs in Germany and England but no firm bid has so far been made.

"We will sit down together if an offer comes, but I believe first he has to make his own mind up if he wants to stay with us, or not," said Wenger.

"I, personally, would prefer him to stay with us."

Spaniard Manuel Almunia has kept Lehmann out of the starting line-up this season, prompting speculation that the latter could move in order to safeguard his place in the German team for Euro 2008.

I've got a bad feeling about this one, our Carling Cup team are good, but they'll have to be outstanding to beat the Spuds over both legs.

They have to work hard to beat the Spurs. Arsenal need good finisher. Eduerdo, Eboue and Adebayor are in good form. I badly miss Thierry since his departure .I hope they come up as winners against Tottenhum on Wednesday to keep their place intact.

Two Emmanuel Adebayor headers and a Tomas Rosicky volley ensured Arsenal stayed level on points with Manchester United at the top of the table.

Adebayor nodded Gael Clichy's left-wing cross into the right corner on 19 minutes to put Arsenal ahead.

The Togo striker used his height advantage just before the break to steer home Alexander Hleb's cross.

Rosicky hit the post from six yards just after half-time but volleyed in Eduardo da Silva's cross on 81 minutes.
