I think if you predict a draw, and then predict the wrong team to move on, you get a zero. because your prediction is wrong.
I think it should be like this: Say the game result is Germany 2:2 Swenden (Germany wins in Penulty)
Predictions:
1. Germany 2:1 Sweden (by any margin) get 1 point. (for picking the right team)
2. Germany 1:1 Sweden (Germany) get 2 points. (for picking the right team and goal difference)
3. Germany 2:2 Sweden (Germany) get 4 points. (for picking the right team and the correct score)
4. Germany 2:2 Swenden (Sweden) gets zero. picked the wrong team.
Why would he get any points? If the result is 1-0 Germany and someone predicting 1-0 sweden, he don't get any points, does he?
This should make sense.

The official result of that game would be draw. So correctly predicted the result. That is the reason he would get the point. The number 1, would not come into equation as it is a wrong result. Though number 4 has the wrong winner prediction still it is the right result. so even prediction 3 with a swedish win should have get some point, other wise it would not be fair. so in 1986, Brazil was unbeaten though eliminated in QF by france.

Naa! I fail to agree with you. 1986 France won, and all other penulty kick decider matches have a winner. That is part of the game. Not outside of the game. So a draw with the wrong winner should get a zero, that is my humble opinion. If Abahoni beats Mohammadan in penulty shoot out, I would scream, 'we beat you fair and square.'
(On a lighter note, agree with me!!! The less points you can giveout the better it is for the leaders. Which narrows your competition )

Cat's eye in 1986 France actually won the match in shootout. Zico missed penalty in reguler time. Socrates and Platini miss in shootout. I think Junior also missed in shootout. Joel Bates the frence GK was a hero for me. I clearly remember that match, because in the whole class I was the only French supporter.
(I m hosting this. I do not want to be a greedy host. I would let someone win; that was the reason I was predicting underdog to win . )
