The runs Rooney made were amazing.. The whole passing was brilliant.. abosolutely flawless attack, even though there were some problems in the defense. And Rooney handled himself well considering he was the only forward.

Credit must also go to Nani who really shut those critics up with a sensational display. He too I believe has started to emerge out of CR's shadow even though there was never really any doubt about his skills.

Tbh, I did doubt his skills, I still do. I personally think Park is better than him as a right mid/left mid.
1 game doesnt prove all to me. I know he has the potential, really needs to prove it.. BTW, anyone knows how can I paste a table here?? :P
How about attaching a pic directly from my hard disk??

Nani played a huge role in our 4-0 win over Hull as well. The problem he's got as a player is quite similar to what CR had in his earlier age with the needless showboating and somersaults. I think on Sunday he actually played with his footballing brain and it showed. Hopefully he will continue to improve that aspect of his game.
Park on the other hand is definitely one of United's unsung heroes but he's a different type of player. What makes him great is his strong work ethic and his invaluable contributions to the team cause.

Yh, Nani has the "hog" skill like early CR. Fergie needs to overcome that like he did with CR's
while park is more like a typical RM, fair dribbling, good crossing, not a "hog" or chancetaker

Rooney is a beast... seriously..... (watched an EPL game after a while, ManU-Arsenal)
probably the best striker at the moment among the clubs (I would rate him higher than drogba, villa)
dont know why ManU wants to cash in on the player thats literally keeping the team above surface. But hey Barca fan here... cant complain.... I think Barca will def go for the 60m+ euro bid on Rooney (despite our last 60m investment yet to pay off)
but I can see why Rooney might not want to leave England, but who knows whats in Sir Alex's mind...

Who told you United wants to cash in on Rooney?! Rooney himself said he wants to finish his career at United. He loves his life in England and he is revered by the fans. He will be a United legend by the time he's finished playing. Ronaldo was different because he wanted to leave and life in Spain would naturally suit his lifestyle and family better. We would not have sold him otherwise. As far as Rooney is concerned, David Gill already said the other day that United would never sell Rooney and it's highly unlikely SAF would want that either.

Chelsea is within reach now. I expect them to falter considering their captain is bringing a lot of negative press to the team. Its going to have an affect. If we can win the EPL this year, that will be the biggest win for many many years. No one, including me, thought that we can do it this year. We will prove everybody wrong.

No.1 after a 5-0 against the bottom placed Portsmouth - including one own goal and two deflections
If Chelsea doesn't win tomorrow against Arsenal, MU will continue to be on the top of the table.

We lost a golden opportunity to go on level points with Chelski.. Villa are a good team though. There are gonna be tough to beat in the Carling Cup final later this month.

We seem to time our mess-ups perfectly. When Chelsea had two draws in late December, MU lost in the same week
What is with all these own goals ? It is now 11 for the season (though the second and third against Portsmouth should have been credited to Nani and Carrick)

There is still a lot of games left, anything can still happen. We have to be more patient. The difference is just 1 point still.

United 2-1 thanks to a phenomenal header by none other than Wayne Rooney! Two away goals at the San Siro, so far so good....

AC Milan 2 - 3 Man Utd
Manchester United secured an historic win at the San Siro as they drew first blood in an enthralling Champions League last-16 tie with AC Milan.
Wayne Rooney was the match-winner with a brace of headers to earn United a precious first-leg advantage.
That came after Paul Scholes' fortunate leveller, but Milan played their part after Ronaldinho's deflected opener.
And Clarence Seedorf struck late on before Michael Carrick saw red for two bookings to leave the tie up for grabs.
-------------
Great game. We did well to get back into the game after a lacklustre first half. Rooney was sensational as par his recent form but we really gotta work on our defense, which was abysmal for a team of United's standards. Still, a 3-2 win away at San Siro is nothing to scoff at. Hopefully we will win it again back at OT.

Defenders need to up their game if we are to go through. Milan are dangerous when they go all out attack.

United got lucky (apart from Rooney's brilliance)
Scholes' goal was a fluke + Ferdinand was lucky not to be punished for fouling Ronaldinho + Milan's finishing was awful
