If Mustafizur is so up the batting order, that implies the tail starts quite early eek

The commentator who inspected the pitch said the toss winner should bat first to win the match.
Shakib wins the toss and then chooses bowling.
EH????

200 coming up and then the usual tuk tuk batting for a shommanjonok porajoy!

I think good comeback by the bowler to restrict them below 180. But I think this is a difficult task for the BD batsmen.

I never follow the crap BPL< but thats the only yardstick to judge players. Quite pessimistic as usually the younger players who do well in BDP play crap during internationals. Lets see

It seems it was a great decision to shave off alot the oldies from the T20 team like Mushfiq Mahamdullah Tamim and get in new players.

This should be applied to some ODI players as well.

Liton had the right approach but again his brain lapse came into play, thats probably to do with his poor ODI performances.

Hopefully he recovers

Credit should be given to shanto. He took so much criticism and instead of breaking apart, he worked hard and it's showing. Good for him

I would say Shanto played much better than he normally does. But again that brain freeze.

Even though Shakib was smashing things he had one scooping it up in the air.

Allahmdullilah great stuff. Wasnt expecting such a performance from the batsman.

I think the turning point was the quick wickets in England innings

What a breath of fresh air! Shanto answered his critics, both in terms of runs scored and SR!

Good starts from both Rony and Hridoy!

I would drop Liton to one-down and bring Shakib up at #4

My order would be:

Rony
Shanto
Liton
Shakib
Hridoy
Afif
Shamim
Taskin
Nasum
+2 Pacers

Good win today. The bowling comeback during the death overs is a rare one.

Valid criticism is fine, bullying is not. But when they do good, they have to be praised for it.

Ditto!

BCB should be thanked for making good pitches for last BPL, that helped batters to become more aggressive in their approach. Bangla Tigers/HP programs should be praised for grooming a good set of pacers, they helped the batters to get used to 140+ KPH pace during BPL. It was gratifying to see our batters taking on Archer and Wood with relative ease today!

Today's match also validated that Hasan Mahmud being the top wicket taker in BPL was no fluke, or something to be overlooked.

I have to say though that we're lucky both Hales and Billings are skipping this tour. Salt is not as comfortable against spin as the other two.

Reports say dressing room environment have been remarkably well in last few days. Shakib has been seen putting special efforts making newcomers Rony and Hridoy comfortable.

IMO, if the ODI team want to improve in this regard, they should get rid of Mushfiq sooner than later. Mushfiq has been poisoning the dressing room for last decade or so, creating the junior-senior difference. When Rony has been brought in to practice with the team, before the last ODI at Chattogram, to prep him for the T20I series, Mushfiq has been seen yelling at him. Rony has a habit of getting a feel for other people's bats. While Shakib allowe him to knock with his bat, Mushfiq rudely refused him. Rony Talukdar is a gentle polite guy with a smile on his face most of the time, you gotta be a total dick to be rude to him. The team management need to stop putting up with this sort of nuisance.

Rony and Hridoy played well. They have shown the ability, now need consistency.

Shanto 3 half-centuries in 4 innings...excellent consistency. A big score should be right around the corner.

Why the scheduling is always so bad? Why couldnt they host the next game on Friday or Saturday instead of a Sunday?

Friday-Saturday, BCB bosses have parties to go to, they don't want to show up at work to host international matches! Who cares about marketing or accommodating spectators?!

Shakib like the commies has no special delivery. It’s all small variations.

When Shakib wants to be he is exceptional
