Dilhara Fernando put in a superb spell of bowling as Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 70 runs in the first ODI of the three match Laqshya series.
At one point Sri lanka were struggling in Colombo on 67-3 but managed 234-6 thanks to Upul Tharanga (57) and Chamara Silva (65).
Bangladesh fielding was well below par and they dropped four catches and missed couple of run out chances which allowed Sri Lanka to recover from a shaky start.
Then Fernando (4-24) ripped through the Tigers' top order after Shahriar Nafees (33) had got them off to a solid start.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Farhad Reza and Abdur Razzak all made 28 but Bangladesh were bowled out for 164 in the 41st over to go 1-0 down in the three-match series.
