Default Mortaza lacks pace?

Hi folks I was watching the second ODI with NZ, I found Mortaza teeth-less and slow .

Do you think he will be in better shape during the WC in UK?

Why I brought this up is to say right now the team needs to tryout some young bowlers who can bowl consistently 140kmph + and swing the new ball. That will, be the key in England. Mortaza's experience will help in WC , but this may a good opportunity to groom some unknown talents and give them opportunity.
Also, I feel Mortaza himself will rise to a greater height during WC because big players know when to peak.

^ 150 really? Here I thought he was bowling as fast as 160k consistently ...

What is your point op? We all know he lost his pace along time ago, unless you suddenly just crawled out of a hole recently. You say we should groom a new player, he is the captain and will be a captain for the WC.

Mortaza like any players has on and off days. Yes he doesn’t have the speed of other players but he is more accurate with the new ball than most of the speedier bowlers.

Also his captaincy IMO is what makes him an asset. This will be his final year so not much to think about at this stage really other than who replaces him as captain and main new ball bowler after the WC

The bigger question is whether Indians lack better entertainment facilities. Otherwise can't quite understand the constant need to troll us for entertainment.

Totally agree, he has much experience and the best person to be the captain.
Problem is lack of pace makes him an average bowler and the problem of relying completely on experienced players is that they can be injury prone.

What the team lacks is bench strength.
