Interesting indeed, I dont mind him being batting coach for BD for couple of month before SL tour. That would be good move from BCB.

Can we make a probable list ??

Darren Lehman has been known as a strategic coach. He knows what he is doing and tries to assess weakpoints of a particular players game. For example he worked with Khawaja to try to go after the ball more. He seems to have found success in that due to his good performances in the Ryobi One Day Cup.

Lehman is highly respected among his peers. The summary of what I read about him so far is he picks up a player's strength & weaknesses at very early stage and then works one-on-one basis with that player. He has been known for his good cricketing knowledge since playing days. But he is also known for bad tempers, doesn't compromise much.

If this turns out to be true, this is what I would do if I was in charge. I would tell Bijoy, Mominul, Asif and Nasir to pack their bag for a vacation with JS at Mirpur.

I dont think we can lure someone like Lehmann, we wont be able to meet his financial needs and secondly Bangladesh might not be the ideal place for such a talented coach like him. He's doing a good job in Queensland atm. Surely he's a potential candidate for Australian head coach role in the future. There are plenty of good coaches, its just that the likes of IPL, Big Bash and all the other T20 tournaments that make them difficult to get. This is why we are going for guys like Hooper, Greatbatch.
I am surprised we havent even tried someone like Geoff Marsh who has the experience of winning a WC and coaching Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka (For Short Term). John Wright is another person who could contribute a lot given his experience. KKR headcoach Trevor Bayliss is another very capable coach, who will probably be unattainable unless Mr. Shahrukh Khan decides to terminate him. We ve been linked several times with Tom Moody, but he isnt keen on any long term arrangement. I dont even mind us going for Michael Bevan who has had a bit of experience coaching in recent times.

FORMER West Indies skipper Carl Hooper isn't pursuing the vacant Bangladesh coaching job and is frustrated by "far-fetched" reports linking him as the replacement for Richard Pybus.
The 46-year-old is currently steering Adelaide side Woodville, which won last season's grade title.
"I was asked if I was interested, said I wasn't and that was the last I heard of it," Hooper said.
"I was hoping Bangladesh would retract what they have apparently told Cricinfo that I was 'interested in the job'.
"I have not applied and I am not interested. I am happy at Woodville."

Again the board showing unprofessional attitude by leaking coaches name when they are not interested; what's the need for leaking coaches name? You want to make news, say we are looking for applications and deadline is 25th Jan, that's it.

Board should really just keep their mouth shut. Keep the media out of it, and announce the name of the coach only when they are 100% confirmed. I hope they learned their lesson from last time around.

The way BCB is going and creating scandals one after the other I fear ICC may
seriously propose stern actions no sooner.

LOL at the way the BCB run as an organization. No professionalism whatsoever.
What pleasure they derive from such false claims, only they can tell. Even the Lord will be scratching his head.

^ I cant see anything negetive in this news report. tbh I was very surprised to see Hooper's name in that list at very first place. Reporter clearly said BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus as his reference for this false news. Forget about quality atm, Its very clear that they are struggling big to manage even candidates for this post. I suspect even Hooper felt embarased to connect his name with BCB, and denies his candidacy now.
