XI+ Lineup for ODI #3:

1. Kayes
2. Naeem
3. Nafees
4. Rahim
5. Shakib
6. Alok(one last chance)...if he fails here i will stop supporting him! because by now he has had enough chances after ICL to prove himself....fail refers to playing a meaningless innings in the context of the game
7. Nasir(really am tempted to move him up the order..but appraisal+BD player seems to bring out the worst in a BD player)
8. Elias Sunny(deserves a go!)
9. Shafiul
10. Rubel
11. Nazmul

Tamim has to fix some issues before coming back to cricket....he needs a good batting plan to approach his game, right now he has no plan. it is wayy too easy for opponents to figure out how he plays. he is lacking versatility in his game. he should look to take at least 3 singles every over. he takes too many risks early on.

If anyone noticed on both ODI 1 and 2, West Indies had a very slow start in the first 4 overs....why? because they are wary of the Double new ball threat,

forget about fans and our expectations....start slow, build a base then explode(like our newly appointed mod bhai says in his sig )

having a runrate of 6.0 per over is not rocket science. it is not hard. all you have to do is take lots and lots of singles and play safe all along the ground until you feel confident in your ability to have the ball onto the sweet part of the bat.

problem is that the stamina of our players is not super-excellent, maybe taking at least 3 singles every over is a bit too much for them, but we have to do these things if we are to win.

I'm the biggest Tamim fan out there and I really think he should be dropped. It's also a Chittagong match. That'll send a very strong message.

I loved the way Nasir Hossain approached his innings in the 2nd ODI, he didn't hit a boundary until he faced around 30 balls, then he kept going. That's exactly how a top order Batsmen should approach his innings.

Another huge criticism for Bangladesh Batsmen:
same player plays the same shot over and over again to get runs... how many players in our lineup plays all around the park? have their leg-side game as good as the off-side? we are far too predictable, which is why many wickets were "gifted" to the opposition.

we need batsmen who are gifted at finding the gap...having a strike rate above or close to a hundred is a piece of cake for these types of players. because Bangladeshi Batsmen have limited shot selection range, it is very easily to put pressure on us with some decent tight bowling.

Other Issues:

I am very very iffy about Shafiul. I don't think he deserves a chance in the test team with his current bowling form... well, let's see how things go in the third ODI. it seems like after world cup batting heroics, he has lost it.

The situation really looks bleak with(in all departmnents => Batting, Bowling, fielding):

1. Players out of form
2. not too many backups...

La haula wala quaatta illa billahil A'liuul A'zeem!

I do not see any good future here for Bangladesh to do well in International cricket. I must say it is not good cricket and it's often feels pointless, aimless, chore of a job to even to watch, follow or keep up with the BD national team or even the 'A' team or academy or whatever's shameless, boring, day in day out, for freaking 10+ some years int'l performance! I know it is unwise and naive to expect anything good for cricket from a governing body like BCB, it's system, habits and and the whole operation. It is simply a JOKE!

I am getting sick of it that there is no hunger! Seems like there never was any...it's always the occassional sparodic crumb eating desire and attempts, that's it....No desire for growth and self-betterment in the mindset, no practice of long hours day after day, fixing the flaw....I am sick of seeing this for too long. I am sick of waiting for another team like West Indies or Zimbabwe to mess up , screw up so that we can climb a free step up at the bottom of a bamboo ladder! I am sick of it all together that cricket in Bangladesh still in such poor quality!

Since every one is selecting their teams, I would also jump into this unwanted excitement although selectors are doing a decent job this series.

My 3rd ODI Team: Players who likes to spend more time in dressing room rather than in the middle and players who think they are due a show in the middle.

Tamim
Imrul
Ashraful
Shariar (Replace Musfiq WK + Captain)
Homy Boy (Replace Shakib and do some spin as well)
Alok
Naim
Shuvo
Razzak
Shafiul
Nazmul

Resting 12 – 15th men: (separating the good ones’ from rottens’)

Musfiq
Shakib
Nasir
Rubel

My squad (in bating order):

Tamim Iqbal (Home-ground advantages - plus, he's a batsman who stays hungry, this just might be his detonation point)

Shahriar Nafees (Average over 30, Good against pace and bounce. I think my point has been made)

Shakib Al Hasan (In my eyes, the best cricketer in the side by some distance. He's bowled brilliantly in a game, batted superbly in the other. The relief from captaincy seems to be working for the boy right now)

Naeem Islam (Our unlikely highest scorer of the series. Should find his place in the middle order)

Mushfiqur Rahim (I think he should come after Naeem, because he's got more experience, and might need to see the innings to the close. Also, he's shown he can strike the ball in the dying overs, and he's done it better than Naeem, surprisingly)

Nasir Hossain (This rookie has shown that on his 19-year old shoulders is a brilliantly mature head. In the T20 and the second ODI, he's nudged the ball as long as he had a senior batting partner. And then when the time seemed right, he found the boundaries. That tells ou volume about this kids skills. He's just off scoring a brilliant fifty, which I believe is the first of many to come).

Sohrawardi Shuvo (He's proved to be a decent bits-and-pieces cricketer, and what's the harm in giving him a go, with really not much at stake? A very impressive fielder too, if I may add)

Elius Sunny (He's been a consistent performer in the domestic arena for some years now, it's time he got on the field with the big boys. I sincerely hope he gets a cap, and all the best for him in advance)

Razzak (I know he's had an ordinary series so far, but he's still our go-to bowler for difficult situations. He's the most experienced specialist bowler in the squad, and Chittagong, being a little more on the slower side, might just suit his style of bowling)

Nazmul (I've never been a big fan of this guy, but seeing the number of fans he has around this forum alone, I might have missed a point about him. Specially with BD's most successful bowling coach Ian Pont thinking so very highly of him, I think he deserves a shot at showcasing what he's got.

Rubel (The only bowler who's looked to generate some discomfort among the WIndies batsmen. He is our ace paceman at the moment. Our spearhead. May he bowl well at Chittagong)

My Team for 3rd ODI and only One condition as follows :
1. Tamim
2. Imarul
3. Nafees
4. Shak.
5. Mushy
6. Naeem
7. Nasir
8. Shuvo
9. Raz
10. Nazmul
11. Rubel
and the condition is "PLEASE PLEASE DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR WICKETS CHEAPLY"
Seriously, the only difference I found between our team and WI team is that while batting their batsman didn't give away their wickets as a present so cheaply that our batsman do in both ODI. WI Bowling was nothing extra ordinary, not that much pace or swing or movement, just they are giving three quater length ball sometimes that have some bounce for their heights. Only thing that hurt me a lot lot that out batsman are giving away their wickets to the WI bowlers like presents. WHY ? WHY ? can anybody give a proper answer, plz.

I agree with you 100%. but after 10yrs of international cricket playing nation, why our team is still not 100% fit and stamina is not excellent rather then super-excellent ?

I don't have any hope to give up. The way our top order is playing, if they maintain that much consistancy (?) we will never win 3rd match for sure.
Our batsman can't bat if its a bowling pitch, our bowler can't bring breakthrough if its a batting wicket, where should we go ? what should we do ?

My squad for the final ODI

Tamim (he HAS to perform!!! It's high time...he's sepposed to be the "BEST OPENER" we ever had.....)
Imrul
Shakib (YES!! Why not keep him up the order....there's nothing to lose)
Mushy
Nasir(This guy NEEDS to bat in top order....let him give a chance!!)
Hom (Kapali's done and dusted...no point in taking him again....instead pick him up....he'll be better...no less)
Ashraful (Well Sir Ash will play regardless....NO COMMENTS!! But Nayeem is by far the better choice)
Razzak
Shafiul
Nazmul/Shahadat (Depends who's better)
Rubel (Best Pacer in the country atm)
