Bismillah ir rahman ir rahim
MY Playing 11 for 4th ODI
Imrul kayes
Shariaar nafees
Jahirul islam
Raquibul hasan
Shakib al hasan
Mushfiqur Rahim
Mahmudullah riyad
Shurawadi shuvo
Shafiul islam
Abdur razzak
Rubel hossain
It's very nice to see both the openers get to their fifties.Definitely a good work by kayes as he kept the strike rotating.
As shakib mentioned, SN should have made century ,he had more than enough runs to get to a century.
Frustrating to see Junaed & Raqib playing like those innings they played. The bad thing is junaed got out.So I opted for Jahirul in his place.Raqib should stop playing like the non sense what he did. When bangladesh bat first these kind of innings will create problem for them.
Shakib should concentrate on standing, till the end like Mike Hussey.
Mushfiq &Mahmudullah should concentrate on picking gaps during their stay.
Bowling and fielding was good but they should be improved.Because NZ players will try to play aggressively.
MY Expectations from team BD:
1. Atleast 1 centurion very happy to see 2 centurions.
(OR)
Atleast 3 half centurions
2. Atleast two 100+ partnerships.
3. 280+ if bat first ,restrict NZ within 250 if bowl first
4. Decent spells from all the bowlers
GOOD LUCK TEAM BANGLADESH

Too much hope could be devastating if we lose. Just think we have achieved 75% of the job. We would not mind for rest of 25%. We have intent to praise players (and coach) so much after a win, and right after we just kick them if we lose. That’s all because of high hope. We need to improve all the way. There are lots of areas we need to improve. For example, when they smash during batting power play, our players did not have any clue what to do. fficeffice" />

Rock is included in the team to provide stability in the middle order. His strike rate against England was 70-80 range, which is a very good one. Please keep in my mind that you can't have 100% strike rate from all players (not even Indian or Australian team can do that). You can't blame him for team plans/instructions to occupy the crease.

Ryder will score a double century this time and end the career of Rubel and Shafiul. Vettori will score a 50+, he always bounces back as he's a fighter just like Shakib, I hope Vettori bowls well this time and picks up Imrul and Rakib.
My prediction for the 4th match, if we bat first Bangladesh 247/1. (S. Nafees 137 (120), Imrul 70* (120) Rok 30* (60) 10 extras

He also got out at critical moments..rok after not playin international cricket 4 a while scored an impressive 76..I kno jahurul is a good player but rok is as well..if rok continues to fail then we can talk about jahurul but since we've been winning who cares? Besides I really see no difference if we put jahurul instead of rok..

^ not only that, he went in on at the easiest time. Thing's well set up by the openers, just go in there and finish things off.

I'm so glad SN finally got his touch back. Finally, we're making our selectors actually do their jobs.

HE is yet to score a 50 and still averages more than Rocky bull. Talks a lot about consistency. And since when 6 ODIs is sufficient to judge a player?

i dont agree......shakib was still giving the ball a lot of air when they gone crazy.....he wanted to get them out in that chance and it happened....mills gone and then suddenly 3 wickets in 5 balls. remind u we allout them on 43rd over. so shakib went for a few run in 1 over doesnt count bcs eventually we were benifited. taylor was there...they could have scored more 50 runs with the help of tail enders.

Possible individual milestone....
Shahriar Nafees need 35 runs to reach 2000 runs in ODI.
Abdur Razzak need 4 wicket to become first Bangladeshi to take 150 wickets in ODI.

Some people here forget the past too soon. After 1 good performance by Shahriar Nafees everyone is dreaming of Nafees Tamim partnership at the top. First of all, let me remind you that this was our preferred opening partnership during the last world cup and Nafees had failed badly, since then he has been performing extremely poorly before going to ICL. Since his return his performance in PCL, NCL T20 and the 1 solitary test match has been poor. He hasnt been with the national team for the last 2 years hence missed out on the type of attention/training and assistance the likes of Imrul, Tamim and Junaed got (resulting in their consistent performance and overall improvement). Whereas Imrul got proper training over the last 2 years and has developed into a what I like to call new generation Bangladeshi player. This type of player include Tamim, Shakib, Imrul, Junaed, Riyad, Mushfiq and others in the current 15 member squad. These players are more professional, consistent and generally more effective. Nafees is an old type of player like Ash, Aftab, the type that needs everything to go their way in order to perform and usually are not at all consistent. Yesterday everything went Nafees's way and he performed.
My conclusion is that no matter how well Nafees does before the world cup, he still should not be considered ahead of Imrul for the opening slot because of the fact that Imrul is of the new breed and has trained with the team for the last two years and has performed admirably during the last 1 year. Nafees is the best replacement for our openers but thats it.

Well, Nafees has two more matches to prove his consistancy...if he does good he might be a comtender to be in the 15 Tiger squad

I dont think one can be judged as consistent based on 4 matches specially someone who has such a substantial track record of inconsistency against top 8 nations. Sure, if he performs superbly during the next 4 months, then he can be considered for the 15 member squad but if everyone is fit, he should not even get a mention in the main 11 in any position.
