Our first innings batting AND first innings bowling will be the key to have any chance in the test match.

We're gonna win. Doesn't matter who they field.

broom is actually one of the best batsmen we have, averages in the 40's in first class cricket and is in some good form. I'm happy with his inclusion finally.

We faced Johnson, Roach, Steyn. Bond and all the fast bowlers in the world. This can not be an excuse for BD batting. Big Z should get a game. at #3 or #4.

Miraz bhai, you may be right, but I was actually pretty impressed with McKay. He has a lot of FC experience so that definitely helps, but not only is he fast (not express, but in the low 140's), he gets some vicious swing *right* before and after hitting the deck, which is too good for our batsmen as they don't get to face anything like that in the nets.

The other day, he was reversing the ball too, in his second spell. It will be interesting to see how good he is against better opposition in the long run. New Zealand's problem has always been the consistency - even guys like Computer Science Martin, Nathan Astle, Craig McMillan, Stephen Flemming (the batsman), Chris Cairns, Mark Greatbatch, etc. had the potential to become greats, but hardly ever got there.

OK maybe not Mark Greatbatch.

I'll have to disagree asif

only two of those have greats potential martin crowe and chris cairns

chris cairns was a better version of Andrew flintoff who was unlucky enough to be born in New Zealand

Martin crowe underpreformed in test cricket. He averaged 60-65 in county cricket-domestic cricket
