Bat first or bat second we need a responsible team performance. First match was almost perfect in terms of team performance, but in the second match many of our important players let us. We need such players to step up.

I want Bangladesh batting first in the 3rd ODI if the wicket is flat. If there is overnight rain and moisture in the wicket, then the scenario is different. I am talking abt general scenario.

1. chasing will put more pressure in the crucial match and also as the wicket is flat, NZ is gonna score big runs, so winning by chassing not gonna happen.
2. Also by batting 1st, if BD can score 250+, it will put pressure on NZ batting line up who has not scored in the series and in the afternoon session, BD spinners will come into play more than morning session.

Thanks Miraz Bhai for opening this thread.positive feeling is very important.unless we look at things positive, its always hard to move forward.i am not very upset about the second odi as well,we might have lost the odi,but it also had a lot of positive,we almost had the win,our batsman didnt have the experience to handle the situation, hope they learn from the game and move forward.

3 things together...

Wounded Tiger.. from the ICL insults
Taste of blood... from the 1st ODI win
Ghor pora goru... we know we've messed it before so we're probably not flying too high

will these 3 keypoints line up and create the circle of Glory??

I hope so with all my heart.. best wishes tigers!!

By the leg side extra cover do you mean mid-wicket? I haven't heard of extra cover on leg side before.

My feelings tell me that despite the win and the oh so close win in the second game, the batting looks to me to be bit thin. After the two openers, they are going with Rahim, and I will stick with him. Ash is home at no.4. Sakib needs to step it up at no.5. Naeem to follow. Its Riyad who needs to be replaced with a batsman. After all, whats need of Riyad if he isn't bowling? In two matches, he had a grand total of two overs I believe. Now, I am not sure who the extra batsman is going to be? Mehrab could be one, but having him at no.7 is a bigger waste than Rahim at no.7, though he has the added bonus of giving me a few overs. If Imrul comes in, I would not send him at no.3, instead he will come at no.5 or no.6 to add a bit more firepower and hopefully some runs. Chittagong pitch probably is a 250+ pitch and keeping that in mind, I think we need to go with an extra bat. Rajib stays in the team. There is always a chance that Rasel won't be as effective in that pitch. Rajib's pace may come in handy in a dull pitch provided he pitches it right and full.

BD lost the match on purpose to make the series interesting. . BD will win the match last match and win the series.

We dont need to Riad in the team. What does he do in the team other than dropping catches. he is only good if BD looses 6 wickets for 80/90 runs, and he will play 70 balls 35. we dont need this.

Imrul should play at number 3. he will be a virtual opener for us. There shouldn't be any other change. We will win inshaallah

imrul has to come in for riyad and bat at 7...don't pressure him and waste rahim by putting imrul in at 3

i have a bad feelings. i think it will be BD's worst performance. Bd team finished his quota of playing good games and competitive games.

1. tamim--- i think , he will make some runs
2. junaed--will be failed
3. ash--will be failed
4. mash--will get beaten
5. rasel---will be useful
6. razzaq--will bowl good

rest cant predict

I've a good feeling too...Ashraful sounds hungry after the second ODI dissapointment, something big is due from Tamim, Razzak and Shahadat (If he plays). But don't get your hopes too high people...we are still the minnow...they are the favourites! pressure? what pressure???

If the match is washed away, we will have a drawn series, so that's also an achievement for BD team. I won't mind at all.

However... let's try and think of it this way... at least for the first 50% of the entire ODI series, we did a great job.
