Only team I didnt want to get drawn in our group is South Africa! Oh boy... Playing Twenty20 against SA is the scariest of all things in international cricket. Well, the group-drawing business was sure interesting nonetheless, now that India-Pakistan and Australia-England find themselves in the same group as their arch-rival.

It's going to be very tough for Bangladesh, particularly against SA. However, let's face it bravely.
Go Bangladesh, go.

If we can defeat teams like New Zealand and India in the world cup, I'm sure we can surprise a few teams in the 20/20 game, especially since the 20/20 style is better suited for most our batsmen. Hopefully we'll do there also, just like in the world cup!

Twenty20 is almost same like flipping a coin to decide a winner. BD has equal opportunity to beat South Africa as as we have to beat West Indies. Nothing to fear, go out and unleash the tiger within.

I'll go with Rafiq in place of Shahadat, rest remains same.

Shahadat will fly all over the park in 20-20.

BTW, how is that we are not playing any twenty20 match against India when they come to visit us in May ? Don't our players need to get a feel for this format, against elite teams, before the big tourny ?

Where is my boy Nazmus Sadat??? Let Tamim play in the under - 19 team.

Or just take Nadif as 12th man.

Whatever is Tamim's official age, I don't think he is playing again for the U/19 team. Actually, I am not so sure whether Tamim will be a good option in SA, but we should certainly take him in the squad because chances are good that Twenty20 pitches will be made to be very batting friendly. Also, twenty20 matches start in the afternoon, so we don't have to worry about the issue of openers facing pacers on early morning.

Nazmus Sadat and Junaid Siddique, imo, are other choices to consider for this tourny, but unfortunately none of them are in the picture at this point.

Hey check out these stats and you'll start believing in Bangladesh.. BTW I am an Indian but I'd predicted that Bangladesh Bowling was the one to watch out for..

http://onedayers.com/cricket/odi/wor...all-teams.html
Saqibul hassan is at No. 7 even before the world cup in this list!

Khaled Mashud is at No. 3 in Wicket keeper rankings here..
http://onedayers.com/cricket/odi/wor...all-teams.html

Abdur Razzak is at No. 3 in these Bowler Rankings!
http://onedayers.com/cricket/odi/wor...ings-2006.html
and the same article mentions bangladesh bowling as the one to watch out for surprises..

To BD team; Don't be scared and play like a zombies. If you do that soon RIP will be written on your forehead. For 20/20 play like real tigers. Halum.

Hmmmm.....they put Pakistan and India in the same group......I guess that's oneway to make sure one of these losers will go to the next round.

For BD, the task will be very hard....but I believe it is doable.
