Default Mashrafee doubtful for third game

Bangladesh pace spearhead Mashrafee Bin Mortaza is uncertain to play the third match against Zimbabwe Tuesday because of a shoulder injury.

Mashrafee injured his shoulder while bowling his last over in the second one-dayer Sunday. The pacer did not practice Monday morning.

"Mashrafee is suffering from an injury in his right shoulder," captain Habibul Bashar told reporters at Shaheed Chandu Stadium Monday.

Hopefully, it's not that serious and he can come back after one match.
Get well soon, Mashrafe.
By this time Rassel can get a go against Mashrafe.

It can't be serious, otherwise, he won't be "doubtful" for the 3rd odi. he would be out of it.

Stiff back ! It does not sound serious to me either. Mash is prolly feeling little down and wants to sit out the 3rd ODI. Well, I see nothing wrong with that, we should rotate the pacers anyway.

I think he would be back. But anyways have you guys noticed the new hostile and aggresive approach of Masri? I think Shahadat and that 6 by Taylor is inspiring him. More over he is now starting to reverse swing the ball and attempting effective yorkers once in a while. All good signs.

Read : it is not worth playing against a group of baicchha-polapaine. Especially when we are leading 2-0 and most likely to win all the matches.

We haven't won the series yet. Yes we are playing a far better cricket than ZIM. But don't forget we lost the series against the same opponent few months back. We need to show our supremacy by winning 5-0. So, no complacency! Anyway, if Mash does not play, Rasel will be capable enough to handle this Zimbos.

i hope he is fit enough to play the 3rd match. if we win it then he can be rested for the last two and Rasel can take his place.

As I said in other threads, I prefer to rotate these three FBs taking two at a time. When we win the series, I would even add Farhad in the pool (even though he is potential marginal one down bowler at best)

Thats how we should minimize risk of injury of our starting FBs before WC2007. We need to keep them active and game ready but one the other hand make sure not to over use them. Moreover it will also give some exposure to 3rd FB with some games incase injury happens to #1 or #2 FBs.

he just got married.his back is naturally taking some extra work load.giving rasel a chance in the third game will not be a bad idea at all.his swing will definitely bother the zimbos.

I'm in favor of rotating our pacers although I am not ready to experiment other lose stuffs like resting SN or Aftab in the name of series win or they got enough match practice.
We need to show the world that there's a big difference between us and Zim, even bigger than Ind and SA.

A blessing in disguise, I think. As we saw, it is very difficult to extract bounce out of the pitch at Bogra. Let him rest, come back later. I hope we get to give another young pacer a chance in this match.

Masree can't be wrapped in cotton wool. When Australia almost lost to BD, Brett Lee admitted he was running on fumes and had lotsa niggles. But he sucked it up and played the next test match anyways. Anil Kumble once batted with a broken jaw. Steve Waugh played a whole test match with a partially torn hammy. Masree is a great talent no doubt, but like many of our other players he needs to grow a pair!
