Happy to see the ducks lose. Sad to see Dixon get hurt. He may be out for the season.

Wow!! BC (18) won at the end. overcame a forth quarter deficit. Good game!! I thought clemson (15) had numbers on them. Another upset this season.

(3) O'khlamma lost to unranked Texas Tech. Double wow!! Now getting to the championship game is under question. If they lose to O'kalamma State then Texas would have an openning. Ofcourse they have to win against Texas Tech. Now if Texas loses also, lol then it will be a 3 way tie between, O'khalamma sisters and Texas.

On the otherside of the Big 12, a huge game will take place at aerohead stadium (KC). The second unbeaten team in college football Div I, Kansas (2) facing Mizzou (3). Who ever wins goes to the big 12 championship game. I am undecided to whom shall I support.

In the dog-it-dog league SEC their wasn't any upset this week. Setting up some very important matchups.
(1) LSU facing Mcfadden. Had Arkansas beaten Tennessee the week before they would have been LSU 7th ranked team. Imagine a year where a team must face 9 ranked team in their schedule. I think a two loss team like that should be in the final game. I want Mcfadden to burn down the Tiger stadium at baton rouge.

Hawaii the other undefeated team hosts Boise State.

Other notable games next week:

USC (11) visit Arizona St (7)
Va Tech (8) goes to Virginia (16)
Tennessee (19) goes to Kentucky lol, payback time.
Oregon (9) at UCLA. Without Dixon this is a tough call.
Georgia (6) visit Georgia Tech. lol In-state rivalry. A brawl in the making, keep your eyes open.
Bowden (Florida State) coming to gainesville Florida (12) Tebow land.
Clemson (21) at South Carolina another brawl in the making. A must win for South Carolina if they want to play a bowl game.
Auburn (25) hosting Bama. Brawl #3.

I have my tiger tail out for the whole week and getting a lot of honks from KU people in the city...

The city is buzzing in excitement.

Although they r reporting that if KU wins they r in the final but if MU wins they have to wait to see some other teams result. Is that true?

Only our VP and me r supporting MU all other in our office is supporting KU. So We need to win or have to hear stuff all week...

Nothing is written on stone as of yet. If KU wins they are still not in the BCS championship game. They have to win against Oklahoma or Texas whoever comes from the otherside. Now that will make or break from a $8 mill bowl game to $16 mill bowl game. Same goes for MU.

The problem is created by the Big 10 teams. They don't have a championship game. Thus they only play 12 games. Other teams play 13. (Not counting the bowl game). So Ohio State currently sitting at 11-1 #5 in the nation.

#1 LSU (10-1) has two huge game. One against Arkansas (which they should win easily) may get caught up with coach leaving for Michigan's job. 2nd Game is against Georgia for SEC championship at Atlanta. If they lose any single game they are out from the BCS final game.

#2 Kansas (11-0) has two huge game. They must win the first in order to go to the second and win that one to go the BCS championship game. I don't think they can beat Oklahoma.

#3 West Virginia (9-1) can win out at home against #20 UConn and Pittsburg. They have the most easiest route to get to the final BCS game.

#4 Mizzou (10-1) same boat with Kansas. If lose the first, no chance of getting to Big 12 championship game against Oklahoma and Texas.

#5 Ohio State (11-1) sits idle and sees how fate plays them in.

#6 Arizona State (9-1) have two huge games. One against USC and they may lose. and one against Arizona in-state rivalry which they can lose too.

#7 Georgia (9-2) has a shot also. They have to beat a good Georgia Tech team and then beat LSU. Both must wins. Which they are capable of doing.

#8 Oklahoma (9-2) has a shot but many things has to happen. They must pray W Virginia, Georgia loses this week, and LSU, Arizona State loses the week after. Then they can play with Ohio State. Very unlikely but it can happen.

#9 USC (8-2) Must win out and hope Oregon loses plus all that Oklahoma wants. Not feasible.

Florida has no chance with 3 loses. Oregon still has an outside shot.

So there are whole lot of games left. Do not sweat out. It happens if it happens. Take one week at a time.

I still think Kansas/Mizzou can't beat Oklahoma (full strength).

DOG EAT DOG!!! That is SEC football, baby. Wooohooo!! Arkansas beats the #1 team in the nation at their back yard. And the upset continues. A 13 point underdog finished off LSU.

DMac 205 yards against the #1 defense in the nation. 3 rushing touchdowns. One passing. Heisman statement.

I think my UGA Dawgs might sneak in to the BCS National Championship! All we need to happen is:
1. We beat Georgia Tech (Good Chance)
2. Kentucky beats Tennessee (Good Chance)
3. Missouri beats Kansas (Good chance beacuse even though Kansas has a better record, Missouri is the better team)
4. Missouri loses to Oklahoma in Big 12 Championship game next week (Maybe)
5. West Virginia loses to either UCONN or Pitt. (Tough chance)
6. We beat LSU in SEC Championship (Good chance beacuse the game is in the state of Georgia and we are one of the hottest teams in football right now.

If all this plays out, the National championship game would be Ohio State vs. Georgia

Georgia will be in the championship team if 1, 2, 5 and 6 plays out. I think they will topple Ohio State in BCS ranking even with two loss.

Well, Tennessee got a life, Kentucky missed a 35 yard field goal. Georgia sits for a BCS berth.

Mizzou is on attack leading Kansas 14-0 half time. Nice offense.

Yes, Akabir bhai you did say that. But Oklahoma is a different team. Good luck at San Antanio.

C Daniel was on fire. His forth quarter stats looks amazing. Definitely he needs to be in the Heisman list. MU had some great weapons. Alexander is my MVP of the game. Maclin, Temple are just baad (in a good sense) players.

Kansas was outmatched and outclassed in every sector in the first three quarters. The forth quarter rally was too little too late. What puzzled me the most of Kansas play calling system. 1) Offensive Co-ordinator calls the plays from the booth. 2) signal callers sends the calls to the Quarterback. 3) then right before the snap, the 4) QB looks at the sideline to confirm a play then 5) changes or goes with the call. I have been watching college football for 16 years. Never saw so much of control out of the hands of the QB. This just kills the clock and creates more confusion. With crowd noise it becomes worse. I felt Kansas QB Tood Ressing looked like he is seeing ghosts out there. When a team is ahead, may be then they can afford to do this but when they are 3 touchdown behind this will never work.

All Mizzou, Ohio State, O'khalamma, West Virginia fans need to thank Darren McFadden and vote for Heisman for knocking out LSU.

Hi hi the whole office is in slumber mood... did you notice they had more KU fans at the stadium then MU... BTW it was a record crowed @ chiefs stadium 80K +...

I was watching the game in Chicago from my hotel room... and i was screaming... ha ha ha...

I will leave my tail out for the next game 2... (if you in case don't know what's the tail? then here is the explanation. MU got a tiger tail that you can hook on to your car/truck/anything and it shows your support and gives your car a tiger look...)

Breaking news: Houston Nutt gone from Arkansas. So is Chan Gailey of Georgia Tech. Nutt is going to get paid 3.5 Mill + he may take the Georgia Tech's head coaching job.

So,
Michigan
Texas Tech
Georgia Tech
Nabraska
Arkansas
Ole Miss
will be looking for a new coach. Who knows LSU may have to do that also if Miles decides to take Michigan's job.

What a week for College football.

Mizzou and West Virginia were almost a lock. Both faltered and opened up doors for others. I would discuss bowl games in another post.

Oklahoma proved they are still the team to beat in Big 12. Even with so many penalties by Oklahoma, the Mizzou Tigers could not deal with the size of Oklahoma line men. The battle was won in the trenches.

For the backyard brawl, Pitt finished off West Virginia by taking out Pat White, WV's dual threat Quarter back. I thought WV was a sure lock and would play against Ohio State. Biggest chokers year in year out after Virginia Tech.

Oregon's loss made ways for USC to go to the Rose bowl. Pathetic. Losing the #1 QB means so much one can see.

Well well!! What you know LSU is back in the BCS title game. wow!! Cases for Va Tech and Oklahoma can be made but LSU is a better team than both for sure. In week two LSU destroyed Va Tech 47-7. And for Oklahoma, they lost two games fare and square to unranked teams. LSU's both losses were three overtime games. How close one can be on winning both games? Then the strength of schedule played a huge role. LSU has faced 7 ranked team already to Oklahoma's 3 (Missouri twice).

Missouri got shafted and will face Arkansas at the cotton bowl. Both team has issues to solve. The Tigers are down because the way the bowl championship thingi played out. Kansas, who didn't play in the championship game, who got beat by Missouri in front of the national audience are going to the Orange Bowl. On the other hand, Arkansas, who beat LSU (most probably the champion of this Year) in the last game will be without their coaches. Head coach Houston Nutt has taken a job at rival Ole Miss and taken most of his coaching staff with him. These assistant coaches are already in the recruiting trail. How would Arkansas's player play without the coaches in the practice field? However, this would be the last game of 25 players including McFadden (Junior), Felix Jones (Junior), Payton Hillis (Sr), Marcus Monk (Sr). All of whom are projected to go either first round or second round in NFL. Who wants to go out as a loser?

Total of 9 SEC teams will be playing for the bowl game. South Carolina (Steve Spurrier) with a winning record didn't get the invitation. Who knew this when they were ranked 7th at one stage of the season?

Going Bowling:
9 teams from SEC (10 eligible - South Carolina got shafted),
8 teams from ACC (8 eligible),
8 teams from Big 12 (8 eligible),
8 teams from Big 10 (10 eligible - Iowa and Northwestern got shafted),
6 teams from PAC 10 (6 eligible) ,
6 teams from Conference USA (6 eligible),
5 teams from Big East (6 eligible - Louiville got shafted).

Bowl match up:
LSU - Ohio State: LSU is a clear cut favorite. (BCS championship game) At New Orleans another home game almost.
Virginia Tech - Kansas: I'd favor Kansas. However, from the last years tragedy at Va Tech, it would be nice for them to have a great year after a already good year. At Miami (Orange Bowl).
Oklahoma - W Virginia: Oklahoma is a clear cut favorite even if Pat White becomes healthy. At Arizona (Fiesta Bowl).
Georgia - Hawaii: Georgia all the way. Too good defense. At New Orleans (Sugar Bowl).
USC - Illinois: USC. At Pasadena (Rose bowl).
Florida - Michigan: Florida. Michigan will taste the samething that Ohio state tasted last year. At Orlando (Captial one Bowl).

Tebow or McFadden?

I think it will be McFadden for Heisman.

Well, I was right and the heisman voters were wrong. They chose Tebow which I disagree with. No QB in the past 15 years won the heisman who didn't play in Championship game for that year.

Every Heisman voters agrees D Mac is the best player for the past two years in college football. If he deserved as a sophomore and was denied because of his under classman status, then he more so deserves as a junior where he performed better. Anyways, I would hate to see him get selected to New England. If this year they don't make it 19-0, then definitely next year they will make that.

Coaches are settling in to their new jobs. Arkansas got Bobby Petrino Atlanta Falcons. Hope he can keep Jones (D-Mac's backfield partner) for his senior year. Les Miles stays at LSU. If he can win against Ohio State, his salary would jump to 3.5 to 3.8 mill a year. If he loses still it will rise to 2.8 mill. Michigan (Cheap "stingy to their coaches" college) would have offered 1.7 max. He took the money and I don't blame him.

One more week left before the bowl games start. Go SEC.

Biased, huh?

As much as I love D-Mac, I think they picked the right winner. Tebow does deserve it. 20+ TD both rushing and passing is no chele khela. Arkansas gets Bobby Petrino. I don't think Atlanta will mind.

May be biased but that 20/20 stat is just a number. Wish him all the best next season and the season after that.

--------

Michigan got the WV coach. They tried Rutgars, LSU and Mizzou first but failed. WV fans are unhappy.

Can't wait till next week. This baseball thing needs to stop (at ESPN).

It wasn't 27-7 beating. It was a whopping of 38 - 7.

Not that it is an excuse but with 7 coaches who are practically in Ole Miss payroll, expecting something different was a foolish thinking. My score before the game was 34 -17 Mizzou. However, Mizzou played real well. The passing game opened up the ground game. Temple was phenomenal. Maclin has a bright future in NFL.

As for the rest of the SEC, except Florida all got wins. Auburn beat rival Clemson. Alabama beat Colorado. Kentucky finished off Florida State. FL State must get the credit of manning up after 21 players suspension from the team. Tennessee beat Wisconsin. Mississippi State beat South Florida. Georgia showed everybody what SEC football is all about. Speed and size in defense was too much for Hawaii to handle.

But nothing can top West Virginia's mauling of Oklahoma. Time and again with big play after big play the mountaineers just kept on scoring on one of the stingiest defense in the country.

Waiting for LSU and Ohio State go at each other.
