What an insult

Our boys tried very hard but failed miserably. Motinisque is getting out for under 10 score by playing a classy shot. Only tamim played a classy shot to get out that too on 95

I can understand Tamim getting antsy to get to his hundred - onek din century kore nai, matha mota, ghilu nai, hopeless case. I can also understand Marshall's issue with the forties - maybe he's trying to become the next Jahirul (Zohirul bai amare koise 40 paar korle shomane chokh bondho koira hakabi, tai ami hakaisi - although he didn't get out to a terrible shot, but you get the idea). But what was Momin's problem? Especially coming off the back of a pretty much chanceless 180? How does he get nervous in the forties?

We really need to get to 450, minimum. That's our only chance of even drawing this Test, because our bowlers won't do jack on this surface (or any surface in the world). Here's to hoping beyond hope that Mushy and Nasir can take us past 400, but unless the NZ batsmen take inspiration from Motin's batting too, there's no hope for us. I don't know about the Jurgs, but you would expect a coach to go mental on their puny buttocks after the way they got themselves out yesterday.

Didn't watch teh match, but seems like everyone is pretty pissed. With all the rain forecast, I think this match will be drawn. We just need to make sure we outplay NZ like the first Test so that no one can say we drew the series due to rain cuz you know thats what our haters will say.

That being said, I have faith on Nasir, Mushy, and Gazi to add at least 100. We need 350 runs and then see what the bowlers can do. Hope Rubel can at least keep it tight because he ain't no wicket taker with his 200+ strike rate, and if he does take a wicket, he'll give it right back with the massive front foot no ball. Glad Al Amin is in, he can ONLY do better than Rubel or Rajib, but I wish Robiul wasn't injured.

i agree, both teams will bat through their 1st innings and i think BD will have 30-50 overs batting in their 2nd innings before the match ends, likelihood of NZ batting their 2nd innings is very low, so bd have to make sure that they score at least 350, then get NZ out under that. that will be the moral 1st innings victory and BD need to make sure that they bat with caution in the 2nd innings so that they lose not more then 3 wickets in the allocated overs

Mominul Haque was the third wicket that was gifted to the oppositon. The ball was so wide that it was a credit that he could edge it.

Honestly NZ bowling was poor. Boult was okay but he bowled many full tosses and on the pads. Sodhi gives one freebie every over. Bracewell and Wagner is okay. Corey Anderson is too slow and can be easily put away.

Our batsmen just took advantage, but maybe played one too many shots. Ayub mostly played through the line. Tamim will be aggressive and will come down the track. Mominul took advantage of wayward deliveries with no fielders at the rope. But he got over confident and played a stupid shot.

Really we batted like full fledged Mofiz Motion. All the outs today was painful to watch.
1. Anamul played a poor shot.
2. Marshal was double minded and got bowled.
3. Mominul chased a delivery 3 feet out side off and above his shoulder height.
4. Tamim was on 95 and he was trying for a uppercut which eventually produce a catching practice.
5. Last over before tea and Shakib got LBW trying for a slog sweep.

All outs were painful.Yes today we batted like Mofiz Motin.

Why dont people understand that is not the way motin gets out. Only tamim got out in a motin like way.

The motin like way of getting out is simple. You play a stylish shot and get out...tamim did that. Mominul, anamul, shakib all were looking very ugly

Yup but have you read what he has done the ball before.

Quote:
42.1
Anderson to Mominul Haque, no run, slower ball outside off and Mominul decides to go for a horrible heave-ho and misses by a considerable margin
42.2
Anderson to Mominul Haque, OUT, soft way to go as Anderson bangs it short and very wide of off and Mominul goes chasing, playing with his feet off the ground as he stretches to reach it with a cut but only gets a thick edge through to Watling

And Anamul plays a glorious shot then gets too greedy like Motin.

Quote:
4.1
Boult to Anamul Haque, FOUR, driven well in front of the wickets on the off side to the fence.
4.2
Boult to Anamul Haque, OUT, back of a length delivery and Haque goes for a pull and miscues it high in the air and Williamson runs in from the slip and takes an easy catch.

From MoC bhai's video of NTV news, Mominul played with fever, this explains probably why he was more relying on shots than singles/doubles.
I forgive him, choto manush, jor niye khelchey, shukriya koren miyara.

Exactly. He was selfish to play with fever. Very much like Motin.
