Is NZ coming???

I have been waiting for the official news for quite a time now, but can't seem to find it anywhere yet!

Will NZ be touring BD next May/June?

I saw someone opening a thread regarding the FTP last December, but there was no clear indication of whether this series will take place for real or not.

The initial news was that the test series against NZ which was supposed to take place in October 2010 has been moved to summer 2011 in order to play more ODI cricket before the WC, and hence, the 3 match ODI series against NZ was turned into a 5 match ODI series. So, the plan was to play only two test matches after the WC, but then I read somewhere that NZ Cricket Board requested BCB to have a 5 match ODI series too along with the Test series.

So if the series does take place, will there be only Test matches, or ODIs too?

I'm going to BD on 23rd May Inshallah, and will be there for 3 months, and not to mention, I just badly want a home series to take place at that time! I'm just dying to grab a seat at SBNS, where the last time I watched a match was against England last March!

One of the reports of DS said BCB is thinking of cancelling the NZ series in Jun/Jul due to heavy rain forecast. Not sure if they will follow through with that or not. Sorry, don't have time to look for the link.

It also has to do with NZ wanting to get things in order following the CHCH earthquake.

July-Aug 2011: BD tour to ZIM for 5 ODIs.

Oct 2011: WI tour to BD for 2 Tests & 3 ODIs.

Dec 2011: Pak tour to BD for 2 Tests & 3 ODIs.

Not a lot of cricket on our way this year actually!

New zealand is ranked 7 so it will be good for us as well with Scot styris back it wil be good for us to play test cricket with them and it will be a competitive one , in my opinion they should come

That's so less cricket...May June totally empty...and big gamps on Sept and Nov (crucial months but what if it gets impact by weather)...I guess nobody wants to invite us...A tour should be going on meanwhile though..thanks for the schedule

i mean in the gaps after the AUS series...or whenever the weather is most conducive. we could even invite Zimbabwe and make it a quadrangular. i think we could use a series of beating up on minnows as our collective ego seems badly damaged.

Yeah according to the most recent news, NZ will be coming in Nov/Dec 2012, and a good news is, BD will be touring PAK anytime this year. Most probably it's gonna be sometime in between May- August 2011.

I guess yeah, bcuz BCB will want all the National Team's players to participate in it, and may-July seems to be the best time considering the fact that there's not a lot of Int'l fixtures at that particular time. However, weather will be a big issue, so it might well be postponed to some other time.

No, Kiwis will actually be coming at the end of next year, that is Nov/Dec 2012. And WI will be touring BD this October for 2 Tests & 3 ODIs.
