Default Bangladesh Vs New Zealand Tour

I was surprised to see that the bowlers bowled out NZ for under 350. Saw some highlights of Shoriful's bowling. He looked impressive.

Day 3 is probably the best day to bat on this pitch. If they can bat the day out, they might be to accomplish something special if the pitch breaks down on day 4/5.

Joy showed alot of fortitude and technique vs Wagner.

Ebadot and Taskin need to do better.

Very simple, you play well and the interest in the team will creep up

Joy should or could make this test memorable for Bangladesh cricket history. Bangladesh have to bat all day if possible and score 250 more or 300 to make dreams do come true.
BD always fall short on a second innings affair. So minimum 150 runs lead will bring the joy for 18 coror Bangladeshi all over the world.
First thing first, just bat with confidence and believe that we can and it is possible.
Good luck

^ let's not forget that match where Shakib scored 200 something and we ended up with a 500 ish first innings score and that too with a lead, only to go onto losing the match. Lots of hard work left to do

Okay, at least their performance makes someone open a thread in this dead forum!

Happy that they are performing and justifying their names in Test Cricket

This *was* a green mamba. Lasted all of a session, maybe less. NZ pitches are flat these days regardless of how much grass is actually on them. Asian sides usually succumb regardless.

I just hope we don’t lose the game from this position like how we did many a times. But credit to the captain and joy for gritty innings; hope to see more of such innings from everyone on a regular basis because this is how test batting should be

Khaled Mahmud with the right comments at the end of the day. Try to stretch the lead out and shorten the game by batting out overs. Let's see if NZ will have the energy to bowl well with the 3rd new ball.

If they manage a draw (long way to go), I hope Papon / Mashrafe give props to Domingo. Getting a result without Shakib, Tamim and Mahmudullah.

I don't think we will lose this match from here (its Bangladesh so you can never be sure), but unlike Wellington 2017, there isn't that much time left here. We are 70 ahead, best case scenario NZ starts batting down 85 (more likely to be 100+). They would have to bat till lunch just to draw level. Bat till stumps aggressively, and they can earn a 250 lead. But with Mehidy batting beautifully at 8, they cannot afford to set us anything less than 300 to chase. Meaning at the very most, we'd have to bat 75 overs to save the game, probably less than that.

Probabilities:

NZ win - 10% (only because its BD)
draw - 70%
BD win - 20%

This is good, without Tamim, Shakib and Riad. Mushfiq didn't so much either. This should give these guys confident

Ryan S: "That review surely must rank somewhere in the top echelons of poor DRS reviews in the history of DRS! Were they appealing for BBW?!?"

Regardless of the result, if you omit the drop catches and the
childish reviews this was a very professional performance by us

Shadman took some outstanding catches everywhere. Dropped a couple too, but took some great ones

You never know with our team but kiwis are not in a position to go for a win. Best bet for them would be bat untill lunch tomorrow with no more than 6 wicket down and then go from there

Mate, usually I would agree with this assessment but we recently witnessed this team lose a test match after 2-3 days rained out. Not to mention we once scored 600ish in a test in NZ and then somehow managed to lose by 7 wickets still

The scenario where NZ limps to 100ish and then bowling us out within 2 sessions still plausible. I have too much ptsd and extremely pessimistic about anything regarding this team.

But still wishing for a win tomorrow and most likely will still check in regardless lol.
