rafiq as opener
this win reminded me of bd' first odi win against kenya, that time also rafiq was opener.
i think it is a good idea to use rafiq as opener when opposition doesnt have quality pacers who can hit the track hard. his weakness is when the ball bounces from fairly full length, other than that anything full, he can deal with ease.
on usual occasion bd should continue use rajin and nafis as openers, but whenever opposition is weak in pace dept, it is worthwhile to use rafiq as opener.

I think the opening pair should be Nafees and Rajin no matter who the opposition.

if rafiq succeeds , it doesnt just mean high run rate but also the opposition gets discouraged. thats why teams use pinch hitters, but they have to be used judiciously.

Well I Definetly agree with you.
Rafiq on his day can murder slow/medium pace bowling.
Using Rafiq now and again in the top order will do no harm.

this was a tactical decision orchastrated by Dav Whatmore no doubt..he knows Rafique as a dangerous batsmen, which was needed in order to install fear into the Zimbabweans and guess what it worked!!!

Yes Nafees and Rajin should always be openers. No place for JO in this team.
