Default Can we still win the series 2-1 and call it quits?

Asif bhai said in the previous match thread:

"Don't worry guys, we will win."

So when do you think will that happen?

p.s. Highlights any?

Tbh,this Aussie team is weaker than Pak,Ind,SA.
And the Aussie pace didn't look to bother our btsmn that match as we didn't have any real collapse,
so I think if we play with positive mindset we can still win one match,
we need to bat first and if we get 240-260 our bwlrs can create pressure and win it.

I'd appreciate at least one win from this demotivated team.

From what Shakib said after the game, it was quite clear that BD were fearing another 58-78 type disaster. I don't think they believe that they are a much better team than 58 and have the ability to beat Australia. Shakib just wanted to be on the safe side and avoid humiliation.

But Shakib, we used to avoid humiliation when Ashraful was our most 'dependable' batsman. When Rafique alone dragged our bowling 'attack' I though those days were gone. This team consisting of guns like Tamim, Imrul, Shakib, Razzak, Shafiul, Mashrafe has the ability to flatten Australia. Just believe in yourself and we will win it 2-1.

I don't believe this for a second. International teams do not go into a match fearing a result they had previously. You don't play every game the same regardless - they are not 8 year olds, they are adults. This is a cop out and another 'ready made excuse'. In the same way that the batsmen don't 'bat like they did against India' or 'remember how they beat England'.

The facts are that JS has given up coaching. The players know he is a dead duck coach waiting to be released. They are clearly not listening to anything and just doing what they want and so this is what they will get if left to their own designs - a selfish batting display where the result is unimportant, but boosting batting averages are.

What is depressing is that it shows how little people have learned as cricketers and how easy it is for a captain to ruin the heartbeat of a team. SAH sets the agenda and the tone. The coach trains the players who then do their best. We didn't see the players' best.

There is no way to disguise what appears to be going on. True character shows when people are under pressure and I'm sad to say that the key players have let us down.

The BCB needs to step in and shake this up - FAST

JS n Co. think they have won the first match.

I think after being bowled out for paltry totals by a weak WI team and SA is still playing on their minds and they do not want to repeat this debacle, thus no intention of winning, just trying to bat out 50 overs and make a respectable score. Their confidence is at a very low level at the moment.
Australia is still a fighting team and will never BD to beat them.

Siddons confirmed what I assumed.

They may be professional athletes, but deep inside they are feeble as well. When one falls down from a rooftop, no matter how well trained they are, they will be scared of heights from then onwards.

58/78 left a dark mark in our cricket, and these players had to carry the burden. I am sure those games will be on the back of their minds for a long long time. And it was the fear of getting bundled for 150 that made them play like sissies.

I do not support the way they approached the game, but I see why they can be scared. Let's hope they bounce back like tigers and tear the kangaroos apart.

we can win, but if the players keep thinking they can not chase down targets then probably we will lose 3-0.
