New Fielding Coach - Richard Halsall
According to PA,
Quote:

Bio - After a spell coaching at Sussex, Halsall was in 2007 appointed as the first full-time fielding coach of the England national cricket team, a role he still holds at the National Cricket Performance Centre.
He seems very high profile, he was the head fielding coach for England cricket team for many years. Another good grab by BCB I must say.

Another Zimbabwean to go with Streak. We seem to have a good blend of Sri Lankan and Zimbabwean coaching staff. BCB seems to have stopped it's infatuation with the Aussies.
He seems to be highly rated by the ECB so this could be quite a coup by BCB. All the recently appointed coaches have been good decisons on paper but it will be the on field performances and results that determine in reality if they were good appointments or not.
Here is an article from a year ago praising him and his methods:

In particular we need to look at our slip catchers, do we even have a set of slippers, it seems to change from Test to Test. Hopefully Halsall will get us organised in the slips and drastically improve all round fielding too.

Great appointment. Everything happens for the best, Piyal Wijetunge's refusal to join BCB seems to have worked in our favor as we have a much better fielding coach now, while Kalpage works as a spin/assistant coach.

As Rehana would say:
Nanana come'on. (NOT[insert clock name]) baiting
By thee bye, never heard of him. So not sure if he exists or not. Muffles, your logic is invalid.

Excellent appointment, must give kudos to BCB for some really smart picks. Richard was the first full-time fielding coach of England for a span of 6 years from 2007-2013 and was promoted to assistant coach's role in 2011. He also led the England team a few times in the absence of Flower and drew the ODI series against India in 2012. In 2014 he was made the Head of Fielding Programme by ECB in National Cricket Performance Centre. He was also in line to be the Pakistan fielding coach but later refused the proposal due to personal reasons.

Seems very high profile fielding coach.
Eto country thakte BD te keno jaitese? Career er barota keno bajate chaiche? Pagol naki?
Is BCB paying him more than ECB?

ECB has a new Admin. I think they are not renewing his contract. By the looks of it he can't go back to Zim. SA, Australia, India are not coming after him. SL, Pak, WI,NZ can't/won't pay him. County summer is almost finished. Heath may have convinced him.
We needed something like this ahead of the WC. 6 months is a good time to improve.

Going by his profile, this seems to be a good catch for BCB.
আশা করি এই হালসাল আমাদের ফিল্ডিং এর বর্তমান করুণ হালচাল পরিবর্তন করতে পারবে !

It was funny to read. We need huge improvement in the team fielding. I hope Hachal can make a change. Our coaching stuff looking very strong.
