Default So i think i got a virus...

well i dunno how( ofcourse it's from a pron website...) i got a virus or a adware or something. randomly internet explorer opens with a random ads. so i ran task manager and i found something called "bwb.exe" running in the background. I dont recognize it. AVG is not picking it up either. Kinda frustrating. I dont want to do system restore. So how do i delete this frigging thing?

I was totally surprised to see the content of the thread after reading the title? anyone else had that.

My first thought was - HIV? while clicking through I thought - Nahh you would need a girl for that - but then I thought - might be a guy given it's Bancan.

and then I am like oh computer virus..

Who said 'free'? Name one! The favorite one of mine, hint rhymes with 'hazards', charges you like 2.99 for three days and then $29.95 a month. That's why it's better to use other ones where you can get 3 minute previews.

I am not proud to say that I know exactly what you are talking about. It's kinda sad.

then study and stop wasting your time here or trying to remove it. If you need internet, you can't get another laptop from your siblings or something? or a desktop.

What ad is the pop up showing? type that in google for eaxmple "Internet explorer pop ups for no reason and says BE A MAN and GROW a little". Then that will take you to some diagnostic forum, where u read the replies - download the software and remove it.

Does Banglacricket sound like a virus database to you?

well this is the only computer handy to me right now and I am studying. But this thing pops up too often. its a distraction. I also tried googling it. Not a lot of help. Trust me not the first place i came for help.

Seeing the presence of trolls like you, its sometimes hard to remember BC isnt a virus database.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Use firefox for now or some other browser. Install an external popup blocker and stop IE from popping up. and then study.

What is it that you are studying? Where are your class notes/books.

Wow dude! that was a good one. But since I am a virus and am still here, BC doesn't have a good anti-virus program. Thus it was not smart of you to seek antivirus help here. Maybe when you need virus, you can come here.. I will give you hepatitis B, C, HIV, Syphillis (wait that's not a virus), HPV and finally mother of all viruses - herpese that last forever.

Choose your route.

Try spy sweeper. It usually detects most of these buggers.
