It's pretty dificult for a pacer to get in the groove right away....especially someone like Mash who's been through a lot of physical reconditioning. But the dilemma is, Porterfield played him well yesterday...so Mushy did not want to give them the start. But Mash should not come on the 15th over knowing that KOB just came to bat....it should've been Razzak (KOB is Razzak's bunny). It would've put so much pressure on the Irish losing KOB and not getting as many runs as Mash did in that over. But then again, you can never tell what would've happened with other bowlers afterward either....Shak or Riyad could've gone for more runs.....it's a funny game yo'll.
|
Mash gave away ten runs in the first over and his bowling looked clueless, thus Mushy had no faith in Mash.
If you want to blame some one, blame the team managemnt where Mushy gets his share!

Reyme thanks for the support.
When I left in 2011 we had Rubel and Shafiul, plus Nazmul with Mash bowling on one leg. 6 months ago at the BPL, Mash was truly sensational for Dhaka Glads.
It's difficult because there is no real depth behind the 4 above. I still don't get why Nazmul is treated so badly or why Mash has lost his mojo. Rubel is out and Shaf is just coming back.
Before much longer the attack will be all spin if things continue. I really hope Shane gets a break and can turn things around. It is depressing for a coach if things don't work out.
Shane's a great guy and popular with other staff members. Let's pray the pacers can start to develop as we all wish.

Ahh....feels good to win it from losing it all!
2/28! Excellent job Riyad the way he's been improving since the ZIM series is amazing. Keep up the good work. And Sunny Delight! Kudos to you again
As for pacers, don't know what's going on....Shane Jurgensen's twitter account's been closed as well

Why not the sentiment: What a thrilling game! And a beautiful end for the team to bring us the win.

Np bro" Enjoy the last over.

End of over 19 (9 runs) Ireland 137/4 (10 runs required from 6 balls, RR: 7.21, RRR: 10.00) EC Joyce | | 40* (42b 1x4) | | Shakib Al Hasan | | 4-0-31-0 | AD Poynter | | 11* (9b 1x4) | | Mahmudullah | | 3-0-20-0 | | 19.1
| Mahmudullah to Poynter, 1 run, overpitched and hit to deep mid-wicket. Quick fielding out there
| Lots of field changes
| 19.2
| Mahmudullah to Joyce, 1 run, goes down on one knee but can only hit it along the ground to long-off
| 19.3
| Mahmudullah to Poynter, no run, hits the ball back down the ground and it hits Joyce. Ireland dont run
| 19.4
| Mahmudullah to Poynter, OUT, wicket for Bangladesh. Poynter came down the ground and hit it straight down Shakib's throat at long-on. What a time for a wicket
|
| AD Poynter c Shakib Al Hasan b Mahmudullah 12 (12b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00
| The batsmen crossed so Joyce is on strike
| 19.5
| Mahmudullah to Joyce, OUT, its nearly all over now. Joyce had to hit the ball and it went straight to Tamim at long-off. Only one ball left
|
| EC Joyce c Tamim Iqbal b Mahmudullah 41 (44b 1x4 0x6) SR: 93.18
| 19.6
| Mahmudullah to Johnston, SIX, Johnston opens his shoulders and hits the ball high over cow corner. Doesnt matter though because Bangladesh win by 1 run.
| Phew now that was a game of cricket. Bangladesh win the game by one, yes one run. It also means that they take a winning 2-0 lead in the series.
Nasir Hossain has just been named Man of the Match for his unbeaten 50 in the Bangladesh innings.
The good news is that we get to do this all again tomorrow, when we have the final game of this series. That just leaves me to wish you all a good night and this is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from Belfast
| End of over 20 (8 runs) Ireland 145/6 (2 runs required from 0 balls, RR: 7.25) DT Johnston | | 6* (1b 1x6) | | Mahmudullah | | 4-0-28-2 | JF Mooney | | 0* (0b) | | Shakib Al Hasan | | 4-0-31-0 | |
