This Tamim dude seriously needs to fire. I know he is trying to set foundation to play longer innings, but what good is it if your hands get tied, you crawl into shell and get out?

Meanwhile, Adil Rashid may not be tried and Plunckett to star and Eng thinks we will open with our spin power.

I am rooting for Mash to bring back some pride along with TIK.

Also, SS >>> Zahirul
Fizz >>>> Nazmul

So, we are a much better team than the last one which beat Eng in Eng.

I know Douly probably would be burned alive here for suggesting Shakib as opener... well I got better.

On their relatively fast tracks would a pace quartet be suitable than spin? Rubel? Shaif? Fizz? Mash?

If we somehow make it to the Semi's with the help of Jupiter, please drop Mushfiqur and play both Liton and Mithun. He gets full emotional and scared during big match. Fans do not enjoy seeing his tears.

Yes, replacing Mithun. Batting lineup becomes weak though.

England was winning against Pak in every match before the WC. Then they lost it.

But Australia was careful, they did not let them break the winning streak.

BD needs to do the same against WIndies like Aus not like Eng.

I do not know about Mahmudullah and how much he recovered from that shoulder injury of his. Since he is a decent fielder (although dropped a crucial catch during our win over SA) and not really occupying any major function like keeping, I won't mind having him for his sudden googlies and run-a-ball innings (better than Shabbir).

We could bring Anamul in place of Mushfiqur showing that he is mentally incapable to continue with the team further.

This will be a very difficult game for us. Taunton is ideally suited for Windies. Lots of assistance for fast bowlers, nothing in it for the spinners, small ground where even mis-hits off spinners will go for six. I hope we still come out on top.

Mushy just got injured during practice, getting hit on the hand. He walked off, let’s hope it isn’t serious.

Maybe some good news after all for all you Mushfiq fans. Maybe after this he might not keep

Disagreeing to Tamim but taking his view point into account I believe it is the failure of BCB as a board not being able to prepare quality fast bowler or a proper performer- leader for the team over the years despite having coach like Walsh. Why Taskin or Rahi were not ready for big event like World Cup and why Shakib cannot take over as Captain when necessary are more vital questions to scrutinize?

BD batsmen better watch the SA openers, they are showing how to handle Rashid-Nabi properly.

Damnit Tamim had to open his mouth and say we are favourites, he is the biggest kufa we have and now I wouldn't be surprised if we lose

Mashrafe in Press conference, an interesting statement he gave here when asked about ground size.

"Even if the ground size was big they have the players and strength to clear the ropes and in this ground a longer six will not be counted as 12, however now our guys will also be able to clear the ropes more easily in this smaller ground so we must look at it positively"

small ground neutralizes our spinners..you cant mishit spinners for six..but in a small ground you may. Our main strength vs windies is spin
