While I am happy for him, this was a mistake on his part. And I can sympathize with him. He really needed guidance in life. It was perhaps norm in the past but these days it is not a good idea.

He should be trying to establish himself as a world class bowler and make a name for himself instead of helping raise a child. The latter could have waited another 10 to 15 years.

A South African blind cricket struck a T20 double century today

Quote:
Fredrik Boer slammed a sensational 205 for Boland in their last round-robin game against the Free Staters.

Boer faced just 78 deliveries and kept a strike rate of 263. His exceptional knock studded with 39 fours and four sixes; it amounts to 180 runs in boundaries which is indeed a massive percentage of runs scored in boundaries. However, Boer smashed 124 runs towards the off side while 78 of them came within the midwicket range.

Gayle wants to play WC 2019. Should he be selected?

If I were the selector, I would pick him.

no he should not. WI board may be the worse board of any - maybe worse than Pakistans. They have no control over their players. He can't dictate what he wants to do. You either serve the national cause or you don't. You don't get to choose at your convenience. Don't care how good of a player he may be.

Think of it this way - if Mustafiz ever ditched BD team for some lucrative t20 franchise, decides to skip all BD tours but come WC time, says he wants to play WC for BD - would you be happy? I wouldn't want anyone like that anywhere close to our team and I am certain BCB would have full control of it. They even do now, i think they are barring him from playing IPL.

He did say that his best moment in Cricket was the 400-run opening partnership with Leon Garrick.

It was the Busta Cup 4-day tournament. No one knew who he was. I remembered that season well.

Busta cup games were special. Hooper and Williams both made epic, epic double tons in a classic drawn match that was rain interrupted. At my home club ground. First innings points were the drive...and whichever team got it had enough to finish the season on top...

Ahh those days...

Okay, In order for him to he considered for selection, he needs to play in the domestic limited overs competition (which he did).

The board is not what it was say a few years ago. It's well run now. There's a clear path for cricketers to be selected:play in the domestics.

Australia skittled out for 202 against Pakistan.

This Australia without David Warner and Stephen Smith is purely a shadow of their glorious past. What a formidable side Australia used to be in the 2000s. Just the mere sight of Mathew Hayden coming with his blade used to give me shudder .

BTW, Imam Ul-Haq is turning out to be a great find for Pakistan.

He's going to be the tamim of pakistan. not only a great opener, but has an uncle to secure his spot. And that security will help him play freely.

what a shameful bunch of people. even if it's old news. giving such a bad name to the nation they reside and to the religion they claim to practice. There has to be a way to detach yourself from this. I refuse to watch a game of sports with these type of ppl side by side.
