Default Tri-Nation Match 2: Zim vs SL | January 17, 2018 | 12 PM BDT

The 100th ODI on the Mirpur Stadium!

Isam: Mirpur stadium wins the race to 100

Zimbabwe played the first ODI here and now the 100th! I am supporting them to pull one over Sri Lanka!

What a crummy looking stadium. Needs a serious facelift to the stands.

Its in our best interest to have SL win both games vs ZIM, and for us to beat SL all 3 times to maximize ratings points.

With PAK going down to NZ 4-1 or 5-0, we have a chance of catching up to them and regaining 6th place.

even if SL wins the 2 games they are not overtaking Pak. So we cant get more points by defeating SL. the rating points are given against the opposition team ranking

SL losing to Zim may make fractional difference how much rating point we will gain by winning against them. It's still nothing comparing to the joy to watch a underdog win

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field.

Zimbabwe: 1 Hamilton Masakadza, 2 Solomon Mire, 3 PJ Moor (wk), 4 Brendan Taylor, 5 Craig Ervine, 6 Sikandar Raza, 7 Malcolm Waller, 8 Graeme Cremer (capt), 9 Kyle Jarvis, 10 Tendai Chatara, 11 Blessing Muzarabani

Sri Lanka: 1 Upul Tharanga, 2 Kusal Perera, 3 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 4 Angelo Mathews (capt), 5 Kusal Mendis, 6 Asela Gunaratne, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Akila Dananjaya, 9 Suranga Lakmal, 10 Wanindu Hasaranga, 11 Dushmantha Chameera.

So Kusal Perera will open with Upul Tharanga. Wanindu Hasaranga and Akila Dananjaya are the main spinners, apart from three seamers. Zimbabwe have retained the same XI despite the defeat to Bangladesh.

Only two lefty in SL top 6. I guess more reason for our team management to retain Sunza.

I get what Al is saying. I am supporting both teams. A lean on Zim. Go Zim.

Had a snow day. Slept for 3 hours in odd hours (7pm to 10pm)

Zim is far better than against us. Good come back. Unlucky first match.

Mash is watching this match all alone by himself! Is he the best captain or what!
