I think we are the youngest team in the world cup. No?

I don't mind the team that we selected. I think its close to the best 15 that is available. Our issue is top 3 batting. If those guys can score on a consistent basis, then we will have a chance. Lets hope for the best !!

I guess the team 11 lineup for the Afgan game depends on the PAK and IRL practice game performance.

I would sit Shakib for the Pak game.

Tamim-Anamul
Mominul
Riyad
Mushi
Sarkar
Nasir
Sabbir
Mash
Al-Amin
Taskin

While fielding I would sit Tamim-Anamul and bring in Taijul, Sunny. That is the 13 a side game.

For Ireland, I would sit Mushi and bring in Shakib. Shakib will be captain and Mash sits out. Bring in Rubel for one game just to see his performance.

Good idea Mijan bhai. If Jubair goes as the 17th man, we could give him a chance against the Irish just to see how he does, no?

After reading all those articles specially the interview of Haturu Singhe probable playing 11from the squad:
1. Tamim
2. Anamul
3. Mominul
4.Riyad
5.Shakib
6. Mushy
7.Sabbir
8.Mash
9.Al Amin
10.Taskin
11. Arafat/Taijul

*It seems Soumya is not in the primary 11. He is as replacement top order. If batting does too bad in that case there is a chance that Soumya will play as 3rd seamer.

Who is this Virender Shewag? I have checked the Indian WC 2015 squad - no match was found!

Joking aside, To be considered a Serious contender for winning the World Cup, Bangladesh has to sort out the following issues:

*) Must improve Running between the wickets. Must improve Strike Rotation. Especially for Top Order Batsmen(Read: Tamim, Anamul, Mominul)...10-15 extra runs not taken due to poor fitness can easily mean the difference between victory and defeat.

**) Pacers must bring their A Game. Mortaza needs as much support as he can get, the poor guy can't take all the load in his two half-broken knees. Not every team is weak against spin. Overuse of Spin can also backfire at times.

***) as mentioned by many users here, take advantage of PP overs. although since we are so used to losing early wickets so many times, We end up taking the conservative approach, whether that's the correct approach is debatable. Have no fear, play each ball according to its merit and play smart cricket. Use Sound judgement.

You guys can add more, but the reality is, yes, we have to improve some things...

First of all, we have to have a winning mindset/attitude - while fielding, take an attacking approach, while batting being cautious but bat according to match situation -> don't just wait for 4s ->keep scoring by taking singles ->convert one into two runs - play smart and result will follow->->->

It's that time again. Time to not only cheer and support the team but also the hard workers who help us get better. Last time it was a hit, previous group of people getting close to 50 members. Let's give these new guys 100 love. Support Group

Let me know if I have to fix the names.

Mushiqur says bring it on
Quote:
He made his Test debut at Lord's in 2005 as a schoolboy. Two years later he was the chief selector's successful punt to replace Khaled Mashud, Bangladesh's trusted wicketkeeper of 12 years, in a World Cup. After the next World Cup, Mushfiqur ran into poor form and was going to be dropped when an unbeaten 81 against Australia bought him some time.
He was made captain a few months later and became the team's batting leader within a year. He led the team to an Asia Cup final, ODI series wins over West Indies and New Zealand, a commendable draw in Galle against Sri Lanka, and a drawn ODI series there as well. Amid all this, he found time to earn a Masters in history.

Hoping for a good performance from the Tigers. Winning the first match against Afghanistan is crucial for confidence boost and then winning against Scotland. BD has to beat either England or Sri Lanka(I'm not counting NZ and Australia as it'll be hard to beat them on their own soil). Then BD will make the second round no doubt unless of course NRR comes into play. Let's see...
