Default Mominul vs Nafees & Co.

KP bhai, not defending Nafees, but i think a cut in the palm would make it extremely painful to bat

According to Akram and Bashar, the cut wasn't serious enough - he could have played easily! It was an excuse - he wanted to play in domestic league for his club instead of national team!

Lack of committments mate!!

bhai, it was his choice. Why force him if he doesn't want to go?

In national team he only faces humiliation. He is sometimes selected and if the performance is bad he is dropped without been given any chance - the selection process in the national team is very whimsical -- why should one waste his time if he is forced to go through very uncertain situation.

And, please don't bring the lack of 'commitment' to 'national' team issue. Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Don't mix politics with sports. Khelar shathey Raajniti meshaben na. Please.

Before Srilanka tour, SN cut his hand while cleaning the blade of his bat; such a careless guy.

If someone kill your dad and rape your sister, will you support him in the games?

Whoever has done that to you should be in Jail. Don't go to the jail to support him.

my advice to you is that committing a crime just to land in jail is not a good idea.

I'm assuming you want to go to the stadium inside the jail just to show that you don't support the criminal who has killed your father. overall doesn't sound like a good idea.

I suggest you to give up supporting any side at sports events.

Are you for real?

There is no point, in someone else humiliating him! He does it himself..

Barring Ash, SN got the most chances in national team. At one point, he was seen as the next captain after Bashar. He was an automatic choice just like Tamim/Shakib now. I don't think he ever faced such humiliation. He has no one to blame but himself for this situation.

Forget the blade "injury". During some A team training, he refused to run tracks for few miles. Then got into argument with the coach.

Edit:suspension due to disciplinary action.

nafis, aftab are history now. so no point bringing them in conversation. if they are in good form again, i willl support them once again. if they can help us win again, i dont mind to see them in the team. they all had contribution in the team. but right now, i am supporting the present team and you guys should support them too.

Like many other BD batsmen, SN had talent, but not the discipline, determination, and commitment. While Vinod Kambli had tons of talent, he did not have the other 3. That is why he did not come close to century of centuries...

Why are we even discussing players like Aftab and Nafees? To make it into the national squad they'd have to turn 18 again and start sweating all day long. No way in hell are they gonna return in this team again. But Yes, we have to appreciate them because back then, they were all we had. They gave us something to cheer about. One 6 from Aftab back then would be a equivalent to a century. They made us smile back then but they lost their mojo from specific reason. Just imagine the evolution of this team.
