বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল উন্মাদনায় গোটা দেশ যখন উদ্বেলিত , উজ্জীবিত , ঠিক তখনই 'হোম অব ক্রিকেট' মিরপুর স্টেডিয়ামে ভারতের দ্বিতীয় সারির নিকট গো-হারা হেরে ,টাইগার রা পুরো জাতিকে করলো কলংকিত ! ছি ! ছি ! এই লজ্জা রাখবো কোথায়। উদীয়মান টগবগে তরুণ তাসকিন এর অভাবনীয় বোলিং সাফল্য, 'ব্যাটিং আত্বাহুতিতে' মাটিতে মিশে গেলো !

জীবনের প্রথম আন্তর্জাতিক সীমিত ওভারের খেলায় খেলতে নেমে ১৯ বছরের তাসকিন তার অগ্নিঝড়া বোলিং এ ভারতের শক্তিশালী ব্যাটিং লাইন আপকে তছনছ করে দেয়। ভারত মাত্র ১০৫ রানে অল আউট হয়ে যায় ! তাসকিন ২৮ রানে ৫ উইকেট নিয়ে ক্রিকেট ইতিহাসে নিজকে লিপিবদ্ধ করে ফেলে।

জবাবে ব্যাটিং করতে নেমে বাংলাদেশ যখন ২ উইকেট হারিয়ে ৪৪ করে তখন সবাই ভেবেছিলো বাংলাদেশ ভারতকে 'লজ্জা' দিয়ে সহজেই জিতে যাবে। হায়রে কপাল , কার লজ্জা কে পেলো ! ৪ উইকেটে ৫০ থেকে ৫৮ তে সব শেষ ! অর্থ্যাত মাত্র ৮ রানে শেষ ৬ টি উইকেটের পতন ঘটে। সাধারণ মানের বোলার বিনি মাত্র ৪ রানে ৬ উইকেট নিয়ে বাংলাদেশকে লজ্জার সাগরে ভাসিয়ে দেয়।

আসলে বাংলাদেশের ভারতের নিকট থেকে অনেক কিছু শেখার আছে। সদ্য সমাপ্ত আই পি এল এ নজরকারা পারফর্মারদের নিয়ে ভারত এই দল গঠন করেছে যেখানে অনেকে প্রথম বারের মত আন্তর্জাতিক খেলায় অংশগ্রহন করছে । জহির খান , ইশান্ত শর্মারা ভারতের সীমিত ওভারের টিমে আর সুযোগ পায়না। আর আমাদের ম্যানেজমেন্ট অভিজ্ঞতার ধুয়ো তুলে 'তাসকিন' দের মত প্রতিভাবানদের দলে সুযোগ দেয় না ! সুযোগ পাচ্ছে 'ব্যর্থতার গ্লানি টানতে টানতে ক্লান্ত' সব তথাকথিত অভিজ্ঞরা ! আত্বিয়করণ আর স্বজনপ্রীতি থেকে বাড়িয়ে আসতে না পারলে বাংলাদেশে ক্রিকেটের এর 'খবর' আছে ! তামিমের চাচা আকরাম খান , তাই যতই সে ব্যর্থ হোক না কেনো , প্রথম একাদশে তার স্থান নিশ্চিত। কায়েস , শামসুর ভালো খেলেও তাই উদ্ধোধনী বেটসমেন হিসাবে জায়গা পাচ্ছেনা। প্রধান নির্বাচক ফারুক আবার আকরামের ভায়রা ভাই ! তাই তামিমের আরো পোয়া বারো ! এদিকে অধিনায়ক মুশফিক এর ভায়রা ভাই হলো মাহমুদুল্লাহ , তাই তারও তামিমের মত প্রথম একাদশে স্থান নিশ্চিত !

এই স্বজনপ্রীতি থেকে মুক্তি পেতে হলে মুশফিক , ফারুক আহমেদ আর আকরাম খান কে সরে যেতে হবে তাদের নীতিনির্ধারণী পদ থেকে। সাকিবকে ফিরয়ে আনা হোক অধিনায়ক পদে। তাসকিনের মত ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে থাকা প্রতিভাবানদের দলে আরো সুযোগ দেওয়া হোক। তা হলেই বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেট এগিয়ে যাবে ভারত-শ্রী লংকার মত। ক্রিকেটের এই লজ্জা থেকে মুক্তি পাবে জাতি।

Thanks for all the fun...I enjoy this forum to get myself out of my work related stress... I was flying from NYC to Boston and checked the score--- after landing in Boston---BD after a shaky start 44/2--I thought ok... good.. at-least series will be even now and the final match will be exciting..by the time I went to the rental car center and took my car and checked the score--- it was 58/10...!!! I was wondering whether it was a bug in Cricinfo or not.. I made it a point to register to the forum and express my heartfelt gratitude.. this is hillarious and great fun...
