What I saw, I didn't understand it then. Now when I think of it I feel like I should have done something. When I used to come home from school, on the way twice I saw same infant tied to an electric pole. The kid was crying his heart out. NOw I wish if I could help the kid anyway. Think, at that age you left alone someone's house and you cry. But the kid was on the road. Why would a parent do that, why?

where parents make cloths for children from their old used garments. Younger siblings wear big bros/sis's used cloths too. (i remember wearing my fathers t-shirts and pants when i was a kid )

this is common in most poor countries... even in us they call it garage sale... and buy it from other people (which in my mind worse than wearing our owns...)

I used to wear my sis and dad's clothing too. They were nice and comfy, so I didn't mind.

I never had cloths made from them but my mom made a katha (blanket) from her old saris. I still have few and they are so nice and comfortable.
