What is wrong with Man Utd?
3 seasons without a major trophy all but.
A joke of a midfield.
No world class players coming.
Best striker in the game leaving in the summer.
Where did it all go wrong for the biggest club in the world?
I say Ferguson has to go - too many errors, bad buys and changed the style of play for the worse. HE is yesterday's man.
I WANT MY MAN UTD BACK!!!

Well 8 wins in a row, only 7 points behind Chelsea and just signed the second highest sponsorship deal in world football (behind Juventus' deal with Tamoil)...
...so I would say not much wrong with Man Utd at all.

It's good as long as the deal benefits the team more than Malcolm Glazer

I think West Ham are definately capable of at least getting a draw against Chelsea. That will mean Chelsea would drop 2 points and that is better than nothing. Fingers crossed West Ham can beat the Blues. But Man Utd have also got to do their job and beat Arsenal, they musn't forget that.

Manchester United sealed the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in English footballyesterday when it signed a four-year contract for £56.5m with American International Group, the US insurance company.
The deal, worth more than £14m a year, eclipses Chelsea's £11m-a-year shirt contract with Samsung, the telecommunications to electronics conglomerate, and is also believed to be larger than Arsenal's new shirt deal with Emirates, the airline.

While this is all good so far, I still don't get it.. How will AIG, an American Insurance company will benefit from this deal?! Average Man Utd fan eats, drinks, chats, sleeps, etc not take up insurance policy from American companies. Although I heard they sell insurance in European countries (not sure which) but c'mon Man Utd is a popular club all over the world, it deserves a more global brand.. On top of that I wonder if the ugly looking AIG logo will put off fans from buying Man Utd shirts.

still r a good team! superior 2 arsenal, or who eva u support, we dont have a-list footballers like chelsea, or flashy stylists like arsenal-nor the passion of liverpool, but we have the heart, aggression and integrity.
we make dreams come true, we inspire the little boy with glasses, who gets bullied, and has a broken leg, look up to a wayne rooney poster-and think- "i'm coming!".
we r moneybags, and have more money than the lot, even if real madrid overtook us-due to their OVER done list of stars, we dont have stars, but we sure make use of wat eva we got.
and the AIG logo isn't bad, its quite BOLD and retroish, the vodafone was 2 curvy and over effervescent.
i wonder how the next mu kit will be like......
thanks h8breed, man utd is uk's biggest deal. the worlds largest is TAMoil and juventus.

4 those who want 2 c the new kit with the AIG logo-
http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/me...sfer_fund.html
and h8breed, i agree, AIG isn't so much regognised.
still a better deal than some casino, which was about 2 happen in a whopping 70m deal!
i would've loved 2 see some firms like sony, microsoft deal with them.

BengalTiger, one of the most renowned facts about Man Utd is that it's been the long-standing richest football club in the world.. are you saying that isn't something to be proud about?.. May be not at present, since Man Utd's tough year saw a significant revenue fall that allowed Real Madrid to assume that honour. YET Red Devils generate more money than any other club from match day activities.
Let's put the money talk aside...
Let's talk about today's premiership clash between the Devils and the Gonners.

nice to see some united fans here! I've been a fan since i was 6, and that was a very long time ago!
so after watching bangladesh rack up 355 yesterday, turned on the telly to see chelsea one man down and one goal down to west ham, and couldn't belive all the stars were lining up like that! But then before you know it Chelsea were in front and I had to get some sleep... had to wake up to see arsenal vs united on ppv. What a game! park finally got a goal for all his work, and it should have been 3 after that toure penalty was not given. what was the ref talking about - he was right in line of sight to see the handball!
chelsea look like they are through however, hopefully they drop a few more points to keep this interesting.

True it should've been given but you have to say it was a good save by Toure, I guess Lehmann must have given him some tips in the training ground.
However, Man Utd did win so that didnt bother me that much, but if they had lost or even drawn...
