Imrul
though he's only scored 46 in 2 innings, he's looked quite solid. he might be able to become a good home track bully. can't really blame a batsman's technique for run outs.
i mean he and tamim both dominated vaas and prasad.
so imrul can't be as bad as we had previously thought. in fact, he seems to be quite classy.

In the first innings imrul looked quite shaky... in the second innings he only played 16 balls... and the first ball he faced was a wild flash outside the off stump. So i am not too impressed with his temperament yet. However, he showed a lot of class in some of his shots.

I'd rather have Naeem back in the team once he's fit. He hardly got any proper batting opportunity, and he's useful with ball as well. Junaed can go back to opening, as there's no difference between playing at #3 and opening the innings in our team.

Imrul looked rather compact hitting those difficult shots. He looked good in other matches also. In time, I think he will be ok. It seems he puts a high price on his wicket.
Tamim here is the cause of 3 wickets. He got Imrul out, threw his own wicket away, and left a jittery Junaid in the middle. Junaid is at the moment committing harakiri trying to be a Tamim....

Unfortunately, i missed his batting. So really cant comment about him at this point.
May be the tri-angular series will give me the opportunity.

All my sympathy for him, for being run out today. But he definitely didn't look impressive at all. He was very tentative outside the off stump. He has problem in spin. He is still those one of typical new BD cricketers, his future is still uncertain IMO. Rakibul looked much better when he stepped in, but as the days are going, his weaknesses are getting exposed and needs time to mature. I would put kayes much lower than Rakibul at his stage.

At least our openers are scoring at least 40 runs in the last two innings. That's an improvement!

He was decent. Rakibul definitely looked more compact but Imrul was classy in few of his shots. So far so good but it is important to see which one of them or if both of them can learn on the job and keep improving.

agree
that's a good point and i hope this opening pair continue with this form during ODI series....
here is what I think about ODI: if we can have our opening pair contributing atleast 35-50 runs on each ODI, then JS and ASH carry the score till 70-80, then we can have rakib and sakib, carry the team till 150 and rest of the team can atleast push for 200-225 and that should be our first target....
