Mehrab Hossain jr. and Tushar Imran both should be given chances in the next A team/Academy team for more first class matches, let's see how they fare in the rest of the League....

Dont think they will ever give the past players Mehrad Hossain jr and Tushar Imran chances but Ayub has a good shot if he provides some more big scores.

Tushar Imran after playing 41 ODIs averages a horrid 14...

For the national team we are already set in the middle/lower order with the likes of Shakib, Nasir, Mushfiq, Riyad and Naeem (for tests). Tamim/Anamul is already set at the top of the order so now its just a matter of looking for a stable #3 batsmen. There are quite a few batsmen in the pipeline for that position but the thing is most of them are crap.

The people im willing to give a shot at that position are Jahurul Islam, Mominul Haque and Marshall Ayub. I guess Shuvagata is still a prospect for that position if he starts scoring again. We have to look away from past players such as Nazim, SN, JS, Rock, Tushar Imran, Mehrab Hossain jnr etc.

no way tushar should be given more chances, mehrab jr maybe.... for the #3 spot i'd give mominul the first chance, shuvagata is still on my radar but he needs to start scoring runs again, marshall is scoring runs but i've not seen much of him play but certainly on domestic results his name is up there. in tests i think farhad is someone to keep an eye on for the #3 spot and if soumya starts to perform a bit better as opener then anamul is an option at #3. don't count asif ahmed out either.

Anamul I think should be considered for #3 but I think due to lack of openers he will be opening with Tamim in the SL Tests. I really don't want to see him open but we don't have many options. I would like to see the lineup look like this

Tamim
_____ (Soumya is probably first option cuz he's a raw talent)
Anamul
Mominul (Naeem backup)
Shakib
Nasir or Mushfiq depending on form and strategy
Mushfiq or Nasir depending on form and strategy
Riyad
Gazi
Rubel or Sajidul
Nazmul or Rajib or Enamul Jr

Anamul and Soumya out early...Anamul misses out on tonning up again. Sir meanwhile moves onto 84*, if he can hit a 150 ish score he might put his name for a come back against his favorite team.

I really hope he's not considered. Before this score, he didn't even hit a half century all season. Let him show sustained consistency before giving him a chance again.

Yes congrats to him. Lets not forget that very few batsmen hit centuries so far this tournament.

Well done Ashraful. Good to see Mehrab jnr scoring consistently this season. He is now second behind Marshall on most run scorer in first class cricket this season.

Two good fifties by Enamul unfortunately could not get a ton out of one of them. And it looks like Zia wants to entertain the small crowd that turns up at SBNCS regularly

Ash gave a chance on 107.

He has to score a double or follow up in the next match with another good score for any chance for consideration.

And why are we playing BPL before we go to SL, where we have been embarassed on numerous occasions?

Mehrab jr. can also play as an opener, Marshall Ayub can play in the middle order.

Gaping holes at #2 and/or #3 depending on where you wanna slot Anamul. Junaid, Jahirul, Hom, Rock, haven't done anything to raise their hands. I'm not sold on the Farhads and the Marshalls just yet either. Less said about Nazimuddin the better. If Naeem cannot hold his spot that opens another hole at #4. I think Riyad has finally proven to me that he can step up to a top 5 spot, but we still have holes. If no suitable candidate appears, I'm perfectly fine with selectors giving Ash an extended run at some position and throw the dice.

And for some reason, Mehrab continues to get overlooked despite being 1 of the most consistent scores in domestic cricket. He should definitely get a run in the A team and see how he does

I know North Zone's bowling is by far the weakest in this competition but It has really highlighted whats wrong with Mushfiqur's Captaincy. Only 3 overs between Nasir and Naeem, while a 200* partnership is forming
