The best man to have ever led Bangladesh cricket. His speech and presentation was instrumental in gaining test status. A very learned man with a vision. Unfortunately it will never happen!

Signed (virtual)

He has the leadership ability to run BCB, a prudent organizer with better cricket knowledge than the sycophant Loitta. I heard his interview given to the foreign journalists after the ICC championship and also after we got the Test status and I was pretty convinced to learn about his insights for developing our infrastructure. But the question is: will our wish come to real?

As Mr. Kamal is looking forward to be the next ICC president, I think we should campaign for Saber bhai to be our next BCB president.

Anyone want to start a petition in this regard to the PM?

Glad to see Mr. Saber Hossain Chowdhury is running for BCB Chairman.
I haven't seen any other BCB officials ever had such a passion for cricket like him what we have seen during ICC trophy and early era of our international cricket. A side from his political affiliation, I honestly think he is the best person for BCB and hopefully he will win with margin.

Papon might be more professional than his predecessor, but there are way too many delays, lack of implementation, lack of progress. If Saber Hossain can focus more on implementation then why not!

He was barely given responsibility and absolutely no authority. Lotus et al kept that pretty close to themselves.

One of the best thing he did was appointment of good srilankan coaches for all our age group teams. He hired good coaches for national team. He tried his best to promote our cricket to ICC and to the cricket world.

Mostafa Kamal did some really good work for our cricket while using power to reach his own personal goal.

With Papon so far we only went back and continue to lose in all aspect. He wants to be the president at any cost. I am afraid he is not the right person for this job.

One has to feel bad for the current BCB president. First he inherited the Pakistan tour problem from LK. Then he had to deal with BPL non payment issues and after that the match fixing problem. So he has not had an easy time to focus on cricket development

Saber hossian may be very able cricket administrator with a vision, but he is also a chapabaaz. Unlike what he said in the newspaper about Hasina's neutrality, its well known fact that hasina is shill mad at Saber. And that's why Loitta and Papon was nominated (one after another) ingoring much obvious choice i.e. Saber.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind Saber back as BCB chairman.

With all the limitations Saber is a better choice than any other person. But is there a level playing field in this election? Will it be a fair one considering the currnet situation? The answer is NO.

Just look at BCB's new constitution and you will find how biased it is, how the ruling president is trying to influence the election. Mr Papon is trying his best to win this even using the BCB's premises.

Why the heck in an election there should be panels? Papon panel and Abul panel? This panel theory is ruining it all. I am not sure how much fair it will be.

Former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Saber Hossain Chowdhury was satisfied with reigning president Nazmul Hasan’s decision to meet for a dialogue but remained demanding about the date of such an encounter, as he spoke to the media yesterday.

“There should be a debate between us as there are some matters which are creating confusion in the cricketer fraternity and I applaud him for accepting my request. At the same time, this debate should be done as early as possible and why not on September 7?,” said Saber.

The former BCB president added that a number of TV channels have shown their interest in covering a debate between Saber and Nazmul and the Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) have sent a letter to both persons about the matter.

Saber continued to press Nazmul for further details of how and when they should meet.

I really like the idea about having a live debate. I'm sick people getting everything handed to them. Put them up behind a podium and see what they have to offer. Let them earn it.

And that way Saber would have an advantage. Hard to imagine Papon winning a live debate with Saber

I hope Saber kicks Papon's *** out of that president's chair. The sooner the better for our cricket. Papon and Loitta destroyed our cricket. Especially Papon is the worst president by far the BCB ever had
