a tragic prediction(20/20 world cup thread)
hello Banglacricket members,
in the 20/20 world cup this is my prediction:
1st match: Bangladesh versus west indies.
Bangladesh wins toss and fields and resticts west indies to 195 all out in 19.5 overs in response bangladesh scores 51 all out on 15.1 overs. the only positive to take from this game is that Mortaza takes his first ever 20/20 hattrick both world record and international record as well as personal but it is meaningless since it happened when west indies was 195/7 in 19.2 to 195 all out in 19.5 deliveries.
2nd match: Bangladesh versus South Africa
South africa wins toss in a hard batting strip and angry fans waving banners such as "we know what you did to us in world cup" and another one "merciless revenge for bangladesh"
they post 315/0 in 20 overs AB de villers scors 157*from 57 deliveries and Grame smith scores 154* from 63 deliveries with 4 extras a new world record, in reply we score 129 all out in 11.4 overs with aftab 35* not out from 26 deliveries
i only have one and only expectation: whatever you do playaz, bring pride and happiness to yourselves and the deserving fans
i hope this never happens but my overall message to fans: no more crazy unrealistic expectation this is only a possibility not certainty

u got too much time on ur hand my friend.. Did u dream bout this scenario? or u just predict outta ur a**. hehe.. No need to get mad.. I jusht kitting.. Ur entitled to ur opinion.. and i think u are almsot right bout Bangladesh score .. except.. south africa won't be able to reach 300 + in 20 overs..
I predict.. BD looses both games.. Both of them they are all out under 90 (batting first) and south africa finishes the game in record time.. maybe 7 ,8 overs. =).. and West Indies will take there time and cruise to victory.

Prediction doesnt win games. Most would have predicted that we would win against Ireland and not South Africa in the Super 8 of the WC. Predictions dont take you anywhere. Hardwork, self belief and putting words into action does.

i think Bd will do quite well. with a little luck Bd will go to next round. we have batsman and bowlers suitable for this version of cricket.

yo man you need to understand bangladesh is better than before. we have now lots of good player for 20/20. if our player can play good ofcourse we can win. but we need just more confidence just like world cup.

OK Rifat at least you did not say that you overheard it from a driver of one of your friends (or something close to that). Where do you come up with these? There are very detailed prediction! I will give you a hint. To be successful at predictions one has to be as vague as one possibly can and sit on the fence as long as it is feasible.
Here are examples:
1) Bangladesh will loose but there will be few shining spots.
2) The umpiring will be unfavourable to BD. If the LBWs were granted results will have been very different.
3) The results will show that BD is better at the shorter version of the game
Here is a good one.
4) Ashraful will make fool of himself

I recognize rifat from our Pabna abode.
He was an honorary member before he decided to seek out better avenues and left for US.
We Pabna inmates miss him for his predictions.
Some of his famous predictions include a nuclear holocaust in which a man from our Pabna sanctuary will rise as the saviour of mankind.

BD will probably do better in an EVEN shorter version of the game say 10/10 or 5/5... all Batsmen will be out but they will score the max possible with everyone getting out, now that is OPTIMISTIC ! I've noticed BD run-rate is usually good when chasing wickets tumble like a house of cards.
