The goal of this thread is to help Jahirul build a team for next year's competition. From time to time, as more players qualify, we will throw in new names until we have a satisfactory number of players (14, 17, 21, whatever). So far, this is what the squad is looking like:

3. A. Ahmed (hard-hitter, dasher, basher)

Razi, oshubidha nai, dorkar hole amra 3ta team banabo. SN/Riyad can lead their own teams instead of being vc and vvc.

Hmm 2ta team banano jai, cuz Riyad is born to be a VC. Btw Imrul also captains one of the teams, forgot the name of the uni, Mahbubul Alam Robin and Tarek Aziz are his teammates.

Can Aftab Ahmed get into the team? others include Alok Kapeli and Nazimuddin for his super slow inning in Asia Cup Final. remember missing uni lecture to watch this match and the pain after was too much to take.

most Bangladeshi players can actually fit in this.
Tamim: Opening Sissyness. Doesnt have the guts these days to score anything big. Stuck between blind slogging and useless defence.
Anamul: Too Sissy to move his feet against seamers. He is afraid he might lose em
Mushfiq: Too sissy to set up an attacking field. Too sissy to make bowling changes
Shakib: Too sissy to learn how to bat in test cricket. Too sissy to flight the bowl these days
Naeem: Too sissy to play attacking cricket in international level.
Raj: Too sissy to retire from test cricket
Rubel: Too sissy to bowl the speed he used to bowl because of injuries. Too sissy to say, I need help
Robiul: Too sissy to bowl anything over 110K

the only people i really cant comment on is Nasir, Mominul, Gazi, Mash.

Aftab was no sissy. His batting ability wasn't good enough but while he stayed he took the attack to the bowlers. He didn't block full tosses. Although he did say cricket khela khub koshter...so i don't know. Anyhow in my book the sissy players are the following:
1. Javed (made medium pacers look lightening fast)
2. Mehrab Jr
3. Rock
4. Naeem
5. Ryad
6. Rajin Saleh
7. Farhad Reza
8. Moni (Sissy as an umpire too)
9. Shahadat
10. Shafiul
11.

the top batting in my team could all successfully block full tosses (although Rock has a high chance of getting bowled while trying)

I nominate Haba as chief selector and coach...

Everyone including the wicketkeeper should be guarding boundary line from ball one...the bowler should also slide the ball to prevent sixers. After all defense is the best offense. And Haba can use the cheatsheet that DAV gave him 8 years ago...why waste time thinking when someone else already thought the gameplan for you?

Sorry but Aftab was and always will be a sissy. People tend to go soft on him because of the flukish knocks he played against Australia and India. As ATMR said, a batsman who has only 1 century to his name after so many years of playing should not be labeled a batsman. At least the other failures you have there have a good amount of centuries and are still performing in domestics, Aftab has never even performed in domestics. And of course not to mention, he looks like a sumo wrestler
