Taskin, Sunny reported?
Sports Reporter
Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny have been reported for suspect bowling actions during the side's ICC World Twenty20 first round match against the Netherlands in Dharamsala yesterday, it has been learnt from sources.
Even though no official confirmation was available as none of the Bangladesh team officials agreed to make any comments regarding this issue, the news in the air last night was that both the bowlers had invoked suspicion of the umpires during the match, which Bangladesh won by eight runs.
Sundaram Ravi of India and Rod Tucker of Australia were the two on-field umpires officiating in this match.
Under ICC regulations for bowlers reported during international matches, Taskin and Sunny will have to have their actions tested within 14 days of being reported, but will be able to continue playing international cricket during this period.
Taskin, who had a brilliant Asia Cup campaign finishing earlier this week, continued his good work in the World Twenty20 as he conceded only 21 runs in his four-over spell. Sunny, on the other hand, bowled two overs for 10. Both the bowlers, however, remained wicketless in the match.

Why umpires from australia and india officiating our matches? Arent the winner gonna end up in their group? They tried their best to distract Tamim during the match. Losers

Rod Tucker has officiated in matches involving both Taskin and Sunny before so it must be that Indian umpire.

Indian umpire didnt give few easy decisions out in the match against Holland.
Its simple he is trying to stop our young pacer growing. He is definitely under some BCCI influence here.

I think this is misreporting by our notorious "journalists". The chances of Taskin having been reported are equivalent to a snowball's chance in hell. A lot of people have expressed doubts about Sunny's action, but the fact that he's survived in international cricket for so long suggests that his action might just be this side of the dodginess threshold.

To hell with these jokers. If Taskin has to undergo test then all the pace bowler including Steyn HAS to undergo test and don't forget that Bumrah.

Such a bad reporting by Daily Star. These are very sensitive issues so I expect them to report with more authority. Sunny has not been "officially" reported yet too.

Our first game will be against Pakistan in Eden Garden, assuming we have qualified!
We need someone who can really turn the ball and do some damage without being to expensive.
Most probably Taijul will get a chance, but I would like to see Sajib! very hard call.

In fact, Prothom Alo says that Sunny's action hasn't been officially reported yet. Apparently, they are throwing him a "lifeline" by observing him in the two remaining qualifying games before considering whether to officially report him or not.
I don't trust anything in Bangladeshi newspapers any more.

Never has a bowler been granted such a leeway for his bowling action... so I dont trust this report either... You either report or your dont, there is no scope for a warning...

Sunny I have no issue being reported because I don't really rate him tbh even on spinning wicket I think he gets lucky most times. Defo any decent quality spin players can rip sunny apart. Sunny did well against Pak last year odi series because pk batting is joke anyway. But against good spin players sunny will be very expensive. He did go for 35 or 38 against Pak in the asia cup t20 too. Most times its the batmen plays a poor shot, poor error batting to get out.
To sunnys credit he does bowl the lucky balls. Hence he gets selected, good on him. But, I don't see it lasting this world t20 though.
In short. We don't lose much at all sunny going for suspected chucking. I rate Mosharraf H Rubel and Saqlain Sajib much higher than Sunnys and Taijuls!
